I wouldn't be surprised if they did. With them starting this all off saying that the last book would come out in 2010 they've gotta have a pretty tight schedule for everything and keep to it. Not only that, but the laws governing contests are pretty strict. The legal system almost always sides with the contestants when something appears amiss.

 		Cheating/Hacking/Any other synonyms
Right now, I'm too lazy to find and quote all of the people that say they just need "help" and are calling for cheats, or in some cases, me. I have quit "The 39 Clues" and is working toward getting AP Chemistry next year. I only enjoy "The 39 Clues" as a book series now. Goodbye.

 		I find it interesting that Dan mentioned Its a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Considering the plot is about a person about telling a group of people about a hidden treasure right before he dies. This sets off a mad chase between them trying to find the treasure which includes sabotage and trickery. Well, I know Grace told everyone at her funeral, but she made the video before she died. Apparently, the treasure in the movie

was under a big W
So its pretty interesting. Or maybe Peter Lerangis noticed the similarities between the 2 and is just trying to have some fun with us. Confused Buts its fun to pass the time before TST comes out.

Okay, this is probably a stupid question but just wondering, how can you defeat the submarine game in Mission 1. Whenever I get press the arrow keys it goes waaay up or waaay down and then I get killed

just tap the up & down arrows when needed
it should be just like the Stunt Pilot Trainer on page 2 of Arena 39, which is just a modified version of Stunt Pilot Trainer at RockSolidArcades page at http://www.rocksolidarcade.com/games/stuntpilottrainer/

don't bother with the space bar for the submarine game, since you just need to finish all the levels, you aren't going for the best time.
I don't know why it would go "waaay up or waaay down" - it's always possible there is a glitch - I don't know if you can try on a different browser or different computer.

Ps: on level five (the last level, the one with the red plane), I found it easier to hit the first few rings, then go _past_ the last 3 rings, make a u-turn, and go right to left through those, rather than try to navigate near the tall coral reef.

pss: I think I know what you are doing. you must be playing it like pacman where you use all 4 arrow keys. you just need the up & down key to steer.
