Youre good! Laughing Fishy thing is, why are Jude Watson, Peter Lerangis and Gordan Korman writing books 6, 7 and 8? Why not Rick Riordan for example?

One or two things about the 39 Clues

Recently after digging through 39 Clues site looking for new clues (i didnt expect to find any) there are a number of strange things I noticed about the series:

1. The poll on the 39 clues website asks the question:
Who will more likely be Amy and Dan's biggest competition?
-Jonah Wizard
-The Kabras
-Irina Spasky
-Alistair Oh

The Holts seem to be missing from the whole picture. Is Scholastic trying to say that the Tomas are unlikely to find the 39 clues?

2. In book 1 and 2, there was at least one card from each branch. In book 3, there was no Janus card. There was also no mention of Jonah or even the word "Janus" in book 3. What are the Janus up to?

3.The flight attendant who stopped Amy and Dan was called "I.Rinaldi". At first we thought that the name must be of a very famous figure but then I noticed that I.Rinaldi is actually Irina + ldi. Does the "ldi" have any importance?

The mystery deepens......

Book 5 and 6 release dates!

I just found this at the Scholastic's own page on the 39 Clues.
http://scholastic.com/kids/39clues/read/index.asp

Book 5 will be released on August 11, 2009
Book 6 will be released on November 3, 2009

No mention about the titles but the 6th book is definitely going to be written by Jude Watson.

How d'you now all those?

Scholastic has the occasional press release.
This week's press release was about the Release of Book 3 and included the authors and scheduled dates for the remaining 7 books. I'm assuming Riordan is helping with every one of the books behind the scenes.
The rumor about book 5 being titled "A missed call" seems to be simply a rumor. I don't see it mentioned in any press release, or any other reliable source.

PS: Looks like scholastic has a new section:
http://www.scholastic.com/kids/39clues
http://www.scholastic.com/kids/39clues/read/
It has the approximate dates snuibi mentioned above.
There is also a message board for us to infiltrate, I mean join.

On the back of card 37 is the Dresden Green diamond. I know because it says it in the clue finder guide. (you have to look very closely)

On the last page back someone asked how we know what Gideon means, and it says pretty clearly that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Gideon and Olivia Cahill were the founders of the family an Luke, Thomas, Jane, and Katherine were their children.

Also, someone asked why I was talking only about Thomas and Katherine, and that's pretty much just because they're who the book talks the most about.
Also again, someone said that Bae hating Alistair wouldn't work because the Yakuza are Tomas, but I was thinking that he had betrayed him to them or started out with them, but I was just randomly theorizing and it didn't have much factual reasoning behind it. Besides, we know that's not why he hates him.
And about the Dresden Green diamond, that's a good catch but I don't see it meaning much, just that they plan really far ahead.

Sorry to double post, but here's a couple of things I've noticed on the picture on the backs of cards 6, 19, and 33:
Arrow A lightning bolt apparently starts the fire, I scoured the internet and didn't find much info on the fire of 1507 that the founders fled so I don't know what started it, I know fire didn't start the fire at Grace's mansion
Arrow There's a cat fleeing with the apparently older girl and younger boy, I can't quite remember if Saladin was with Amy & Dan when they fled Grace's Mansion
Arrow There's a graveyard to the left, just like when Amy & Dan fled Grace's mansion, even though the people coming from the house aren't coming up out of it
We don't really have very many details on the other two candidates that the mansion could be, so these don't really prove anything, but they're something to think about.

As for the lightning bolt, it could have a connection with the green vial in MOB which needed lightning to charge it.

As for the cat, Saladin was with Amy and Dan when they fled Grace's mansion.

The graveyard and the cat could be a coincidence but its really something to think about.

I didn't ask what Gideon means. I knew that he was the 'first' Cahill. I asked how do you decode 'Gideon' form Book 2. And, as for the spoiler, I don't have Book 3 yet.

PS. I checked the Scholastic website. It says that the video blogs of Peter will be updated on a weekly basis. I figured that it means on every Tuesday since the last one was put on Tuesday.

PPS. Can anybody pls. update wikibruce by putting the scans of Book 3 cards on it?

That is some serious research over the 39 clues. Can somebody post a family tree? I am getting really lost with all these names.
