I'm a Janus!

When and how can you combine cards? And how do you know which cards to combine with each other, and when to do so?

What I want to know is whether I'm going to have to send another SASE in order to get additional card codes, since apparently nothing is forthcoming from my first attempt. grr..

The option to combine cards isn't available yet. The debate going on here in the previous posts about potential card combos is pretty interesting though!

Are you serious??? So the reason no one seems to have received any additional codes via the mail is due to "mail handling problems"?? So they haven't received any SASEs? sheesh.

Thanks for asking about that!

Yup! And I got this other reply:
Quote:
The mail room just didn't know where to forward the entries but they now know to send them to me. You should be able to send in for new card packs or books with no problem.

^^ Sounds like the mess has been resolved but I'm still feeling pretty wary about sending in SASEs.

So ... I'm an Ekaterina. Very Happy

and ya i cant wait for when the leaderboard and the combining cards and all that other stuff comes out

ill say what that guy told me again so new people can see it too:

There is currently no leaderboard, but there may be one in the future. Many improvements and additions are planned for the 39 Clues site over the course of the next two years.

Card combinations are not yet available on The39Clues.com. There will be many new features and content available on the website as the hunt for The 39 Clues continues, so please check back soon to see the new features that are added to the site.

Your main goal in The 39 Clues is to collect all 39 Clues. Please note that there are many activities in The 39 Clues which have not yet been revealed, and new Clues will become available over the course of the ten Books.

- You can get one Clue from your Agent Inbox when all of the messages have arrived.
- You can get a Clue from adding each new Book card code to your Gallery.
- You will be able to get Clues through Missions, Card use, and other online play. These features are not yet available.

In the future there may be other, sneakier ways to gather Clues, as well as many fun activities with other rewards. Keep your eyes open and come back soon!

Help!

Hey guys, Newbie to the board! I need some some help and was wanting to see if anyone here could provide what I need. I'm looking for the codes to cards 9,10,13,49,54,55,59 and 66. If someone would be willing to supply me with these codes I would greatly appreciate it as these are all I need to complete the series 1 collection. Thanks!

Card Combos

As a thought about when we start combining the cards, there has been discousion about if we keep the original cards and the combined ones. Maybe thats what the replicater cards will be used for, e.g. we replicate the cards we want to combine so we keep the originals safe.

Also the money cards might be used in order to be able to buy more information or hints to the clues.

Any Other thoughts?

Card Combos

Greetings all,

What card combinations do you think are valid. I will start the ball rolling with one:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
#46 Poison Ring
#47 Snake Charmer
(plus maybe an Lucian Agent or Founder if those two alone don't do it)

I have some others, but lets see if we can get the ball rolling. If noone responce, I will list the rest I have.

TheRealPip

My surveillance camera codes are 22FC46MJX2 and 237DRWJJX2... use them and pass them on!

If they allow crossing over the branches:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
#27 Loch Ness -- Ekatrina
#49 Paul Addison -- Tomas
#50 Henry Heinrichson -- Tomas

I have been waiting to see other card combinations that TheRealPip came up with. Has anyone else noticed that when you spin the wheel it shows three images? I was thinking that could be suggestions for ways to combine cards. It occurred to me because TheRealPip's combo was part of what I see when I spin the wheel. Here's the images that pop up when I spin the wheel:

Perhaps associated with Lucians since it has a red hue:
#46 Poison Ring
#47 Snake Charmer
back of #46 Venoms and Toxins

Perhaps associated with Ekats since it has an orange hue:
#42 Ching Shih
back of #65 The Alchemists Guide
#? A skull and bone

Perhaps associated with Tomas since it has a blue hue:
#56 The Gurkas
#59 Young Grace
#? what looks to be a diamond

Perhaps associated with Janus since it has a green hue:
#52 Annie Oakley
back of #52 Kaiser Wilhelm
#30 The Hypnotist

This may mean nothing at all, but I thought I would mention it just in case.

Alice

I think the diamond is actually a compass.

Great find. I'm sure that page is new. I'm not surprised they put it up; I'm just surprised they put it up before they put up "Inbox Message 24"
For those who haven't seen it, it's at
http://www.the39clues.com/cahillweb/article/gordon-klose-blog
(don't spread it around, it's "confidential" and "private")

Since you asked.... In addition to those listed already:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(the Lucian/poison and Loch Ness)

Here are a few more:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1 - Surveillance Camera
45 - Listening Device
66 - blackberry (?) or maybe a location or maybe an agent
The thinking behind this one should be clear - spying... my top pick for a location would be 28 - Cern or 29 - Bermuda Triangle)

I think that there is likly to be alot of these "surveillance camera's - agent/location" cobos. Or maybe you will use many surveillance cameras in the "missions" we will go on. This would be the main benifit from sharing camera codes with your friends (so you have alot to use).

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

26 - Marie Curie
29 - Bermuda Triangle
31 - Halo or maybe 58 - Navigation Sence
This one is more along the line of thinking that Marie found a clue, it is hidden in the triangle, and you will need to parachute jump or Navagation Sence to get there .... the Halo might be a strech I know

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

39 - Gordon Klose
40 - Alana Flores
62 - Klose's Notes
maybe also a location such as 27 - Loch Ness

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

60 - Xray
???

Ok - on this one I am at a loss. I haven't read the book yet (yea yea yea... it is in the queue to read). However, clearly something got put into Hope's arm. Since this is the "ultra rare" card (which we all know by now really isn't that hard to get) my guess is it is involved in a combo somehow. I assume once I read the book I will have a bit more knowledge to make good card combos.

I have others, but since it isn't even possible to combine cards yet, I don't want to hog all the ideas.

A few other thoughts.....

card replicator - needed to "copy" cards so you can use a card twice (or more) for combos or in missions. It would be limiting if you were required to have 2 or more rare or uncommon cards. This way you can copy whatever card you needed on the fly. This is pretty obvious though.

In additon to card combos, I think the cards will be used in missions (for example: the money to bribe or pay off people, prestige to get you into certain meetings or past checkpoints, survaliaince bugs to spy or have visibility to another area while moving around, telegram to read mose code, they spy kit (card 404) to help decode codes, etc).

Did anyone else notice that your attention is specifically drawn to the locket on card 24 (due to the color difference and the fact it appears to be "sharper" or "photoshoped in"? Same thing with that lion (whisky?) on card 10 (maybe this one is just poor editing though... I noticed this with some of the cards... another one is Young Grace #59).

Has anyone found the significance of the 1st sentence of Chapter 13 of Frankenstein? It is "I now hasten to the more moving part of my story." in case you don't have a copy.

My surveillance camera codes are 22FC46MJX2 and 237DRWJJX2... use them and pass them on!
