I think that you are right, and I think that the ~ in each line represents a missing letter.

I am almost 100% sure that the last line is Moscow, and the ~ is the missing C

Scrambled letters...Some letters even can't be read...Missing letter in each town...

The missing letter appears to be part of the puzzle.
Solve the cities, discover the missing letters.

You all have one more day to wait so I won't give away too much, but there is an odd "teaming up" and "quasi-bond" made. You will "meet" a couple of greats from Russian history and their offspring. There may be a betrayal happening, and there is no indication of where they go next.

I want to say one thing. "Evil"! If you get the book early can't you at least read it the same day as everyone else, instead of telling everyone and ruining everyone's theories. Sad

katsmom's post was vague on purpose. I don't know of any theories that have been ruined.

 		Thanks sapagoo. 30 minutes till Tuesday. I didn't post anything right after I got the book although I could have. I didn't want anyone to know what was happening.

Not only that, it was spoilered. If you don't want to read it to see something you might not like, Don't unspoil them.

Besides, it was my turn to get in early. I have never gotten the books on release date. I usually have to stay away from the forum completly until I have read the book because no one here spoils after the release....I know everything that happens even before it comes in the mail.
