In books 1-5, the only clues mentioned have been the main clues that Amy & Dan have found. Online, the rest of us have discovered many more clues (which begs the question, How are Amy & Dan going to catch up to us? Are they going to find the last 29 in a trunk in the Madrigal stronghold?)

I'm not convinced the point of the story will be for Amy and Dan to collect all 39 Clues or figure out the formula--or at least, not by personally locating them. Over the course of the last few books, members of the different houses that previously seemed highly archetypal have been humanized (although I don't think that's happened with Janus yet). This seems to be heading towards the more sympathetic factions in the families resolving their differences and pooling their resources.

dumb scholastic
me ranting and raving

What happened to the 50 day theory? (if you don't know what that is, use the search button) I have gotten bored of the way scholastic handles this. The first few days after a book or mission is fun but then we have nothing to do. Of course we can hypothesize over everything, which is fun but, it doesn't give us more clues. The card generator and the prestige idea are a nice ideas but they hold our attention for long. Even the books aren't as good as they were at the beginning. TBC was my least favorite book because every single time they got there just in time and never got caught, Again and Again. Anyway, i was ranting for a while back there but i had to just put it out there to see if anyone else agrees with me.

Oh, and also nice sig Toaleo.

Bad Books.
-

I also think that The Black Circle was not of very good quality. Books 1-3 were awesome Rock On , but after 4 it started cheesing up just a little. Screwy (Let's hope Peter Lerangis does as good of a job on The Viper's Nest as he did on The Sword Thief. Neutral )

 Beatrice Cahill.
-

I think Beatrice Cahill knows way more about the 39C than she is revealing. Wink In Card Pack 2 it said that Beatrice feared Grace which means she must know a little. But in Book 1, Beatrice told Dan & Amy not to hunt in a way that shows she knows what will happen. Shocked Silly Also I have a hunch that they will meet Beatrice soon. Bang Head

What would happen if in book 10, Beatrice Cahill turns out to be a Madrigal, turns out to be a woman disguised as the man in black, and is all that stands between Amy and Dan and the final clue? Surprised

Also Ive been thinking, could Beatrice's "detective" be the man in black? Shifty Eyes

Re: Urban Climbing & (39C) Cereal

JBBG, I had my computer hooked on autosend. That means that the moment I type in the card code and it works, the card gets sent to you. I don't spend all day in front of the computer, so you would have to wait 'till I check my email inbox. Anyway, next time be more patient. Thanks for the card.
Thanks, soccerbeast! Very Happy If anyone else has any information on the cereal, please post.
