hey whats up

Well, in response to all the speculation that is going around. I find it very interesting like we are all one huge "task force" trying to solve a case that would be put before them. The more ideas the easier it will be to solve. As far as not being the target demographic, I am a 30 year old mother of 2, both of which are the target and neither one could care less and I find myself rolling extra change from the laundry and the cup holders in the car so as not to "dip" into the household money for my new found obssession. I am still having a hard time following what is going on.
Also, is anyone else having the problem of when you buy the cards getting to of the same cards in the pack (not in the 16, in the 8 ) this is getting very frustrating for me. Anyway I am having a ball and I hope on the journey through these books that we make friends you know there will be alot of talking and posting over two years time.

ya i think this is really fun talking over everything and trien to figure stuff out plus it adds to the excitment i mean if i wasnt on here posting i would have nothing to do that had to do with 39 clues this is practically the only thing that we can do is talk about since there are no more missions or anything going on

im in the age group tho so im happy i can win stuff Very Happy

i hope they start coming out with the mini missions leaderboard and combining cards soon theres nothing to do practically

I've been playing the game along with my 2nd grader who is totally into it. In the beginning he was truly convinced he belonged to a family of spies and snake charmers! I was playing it 100% "this is not a game" with him but he sees the fiction in it now. No less enjoyable. It's been fun getting to talk about historical people, events and places. He's also stepping up on his reading skills because he's motivated to understand the game.

branches
here is my thoughts on the branches

does any one suspect that there could be a fith family that has remained unknown for the last 500 years. perhaps an older sibling of the four that had children but perished in the fire. it also seems that there should be a 40th clue becuase 39 doent divide evenly by 4 and luke, thomas, jane, and katerina all hid clues. I'm not dissmising my extra family theory becuase 5 also divides evenly into 40.
By the way, dan and amy could be a combo of all the branches. they couldn't be indirect becuase they both have the same eyes as it so clearly says at the begining of the book. or they could be from the secret 5th branch. i don't think Rick would let 3/4 of his readers down by giving them one branch. This Ekat's out of here!

P.S. McIntyre is MADRIGAL!!!

*rolls eyes* I signed up, and I'm still prize elgible (thank God), but this contains historical inaccuracies and games that are way, way too easy. Also, the branches are a complete ripoff of the HP houses, especially Lucian. Knowing how twitchy JKR's lawyers are these days, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point she sued.

But this is... kind of fun. However lame the Madrigals are...

i agree that it is easy but they will later make more challenges everyday and it will be more fun then it is now but it is kinda funny how 14 year olds are gonna be able to win money yet probably think this is super easy i think the age 14 was to high in way the little kids only have a chance if a parent is helping them

Thanks for all the wonderful posts, I am enjoying reading almost as much as the game itself. I totally missed the crazy-numbered pages and LOVE the hidden clue. I am ineligible to win but am enjoying just the same. Cannot wait to read more both online and the books!

I think we already did combine cards. In mssion 1 it said some cards would help you.

no that wasnt it because i have been emailing the people and they have said it hasnt come out yet and many other stuff hasnt that they will be doing

i will show you this again and other stuff:

There is currently no leaderboard, but there may be one in the future. Many improvements and additions are planned for the 39 Clues site over the course of the next two years.

Card combinations are not yet available on The39Clues.com. There will be many new features and content available on the website as the hunt for The 39 Clues continues, so please check back soon to see the new features that are added to the site.

Your main goal in The 39 Clues is to collect all 39 Clues. Please note that there are many activities in The 39 Clues which have not yet been revealed, and new Clues will become available over the course of the ten Books.

- You can get one Clue from your Agent Inbox when all of the messages have arrived.
- You can get a Clue from adding each new Book card code to your Gallery.
- You will be able to get Clues through Missions, Card use, and other online play. These features are not yet available.

In the future there may be other, sneakier ways to gather Clues, as well as many fun activities with other rewards. Keep your eyes open and come back soon!

OTHER STUFf:
(a) Books: There will be 10 Books in The 39 Clues™ series, starting with the The Maze of Bones. The Books will reveal important information about the Cahills, including the locations of Clues. Each Book has one hidden Clue.

(b) Missions: Go to www.the39clues.com to travel the world in search of Clues and complete Missions.

(c) Cards: Six (6) Cards come with each book and additional Cards can be obtained by purchasing separate Card Packs. Cards provide vital hints you will need to track the Clues. By using the Cards in the game, you may also earn points. Go to www.the39clues.com and follow the instructions on how to add Cards to your collection.

4. You Do Not Have to Buy Anything to Enter or Participate in the Contest. You can participate in the Contest without buying anything, by taking the following steps.

(b) Game Cards in Books: To get digital versions of the game Cards included in any Book in the series, send a self-addressed postage-stamped envelope with sufficient postage to: The 39 Clues Mail-In Entry, Book #___ (indicate the Book number you are requesting the Cards for) Title ____________ (indicate the title of the Book you are requesting the Cards for), 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012. For each entry, please make sure to include your username and the e-mail address you used during registration (your e-mail if you are 13 or older; your parent's/legal guardian's e-mail if you're under 13). You will receive back the unique ID associated with the book Cards and, when you enter the unique ID online, the 6 Book Cards will be added to your online collection. Since each Book contains the same set of game Cards, there is a limit of one mail-in request for digitized Cards for each book. Digital versions of the game Cards included in any book will be available only after the Book is available in stores.

(c) Game Cards in Card Packs: To get digital versions of the game Cards included in a Card Pack, send a self-addressed postage-stamped envelope with sufficient postage to: The 39 Clues Card Pack Mail-In Entry for Books 1, 2, and 3, Scholastic Inc, 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012. For each entry, please make sure to include your username and the e-mail address you used during registration (your e-mail if you are 13 or older; your parent's/legal guardian's e-mail if you're under 13). You will receive back 16 unique IDs associated with a particular Card Pack, and when you enter the unique IDs online, the 16 Cards will be added to your online collection. There will be 4 "waves" of Cards that will be distributed throughout the Contest Period. The Cards included in any pack will vary, with some Cards being very common and others being rare. There is no limit to the number of mail-in requests for digitized Cards in Card Packs, but there is a limit of one request per outer mailing envelope. Digital versions of the game Cards included in Card Packs will be available only after the Card Pack is available in stores.

Re: the 3 clues so far....
I don't think so all these elements working together is very unlikly

What could the 39 clues be? A new compund (that has 39 elements in it)? Some coded message?

Iron = Fe : Atomic Number = 26
Uranium = U : Atomic Number = 92
Phosphorus = P : Atomic Number = 15

So far there seems to be nothing significant about these and nothing really in common (other than they are all elements). Different number of valiance electrons. Not the same type of element (noble gas, halogens, one of the metal types, etc). Their atomic number and wights don't lend themselves to a code.

The symbol names are not spelling out anything yet (however, they might be jumbled).

So my two theories so far are that each of the 39 clues give a piece of a recipe to some powerful compound (maybe a safe way to create cheap and renewable energy?); OR that the 39 clues will be elements that when you convert them to their elemental symbol you get a word jumble that, when unscrambled, reveals some secret that leads to or is the power described in the book.

My surveillance camera codes are 22FC46MJX2 and 237DRWJJX2... use them and pass them on!
