Isn't Easter Island where one of the two last clues is? Hmm...just checked, and I couldn't find it. I was sure there was something else talking about Madrigals or clues on Easter Island...

Yup. Easter Island is where the Madrigal/Cahill Clue 'Barley' is found. We also find out about an secret Madrigal stronghold underneath a fake moai statue.

PS: Thanks sapagoo!

Silence

*Chirp* *chirp*

Well, mission Nine is bound to come out in a couple of days. Agh.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Vespers. So far theory is That the Vespers are/were Arthur Trent, Grace's Husband, Broderick Wizard and Isabel Kabra.
They All married into the Cahill Family, but Isabel seems to represent the Lucians. Why is that?
I'm sure this will all be mentioned in the Black Book Of Buried Secrets.
Is there anyone else you can think of?

Book Ten, Into the Gauntlet, will be out in slightly more than a months time now. It promises to have Amy and Dan learn the rest of the Clues. How?

Mission Ten is supposedly about gathering the clues or combining them.

I have a quick unanswered question. On Card 39 Gordon Klose, what's the thing on the back mean?

Oh and I Know what the back of the Buchanan Holt cards, I will tell soon.

I still have yet to see anything that actually makes the Vespers a plausible theory. No one is siting where they got this idea from, and no one is providing additional points from the books or cards that give even secondary support to the concept.

The biggest strike against the Vesper theory is that we only have book 10 to go. How are they going to fit everything they need to tie up from the other nine books while at the same time introducing something so under-explained that it would need chapters just on it?

There's too much stuff with not enough time.

Olive Oil

I think Clue 38 is Olive Oil. Olive Oil is common in Portugal/Morocco and the whole Mediterranean region and is a highly regarded, known, and used item. It is normally grouped with Honey (1), Vinegar (15), and Salt (27) in a list of cmmon and "heathly" items. Since they finished the Gold (16), Salt (27), Mercury (5), and Sulpur (25) list that can be put on the agent card, why not finish another alchemy list?

They've been hinting at it alot too! Like in The Arthur Trent Card there's a V in the background. There's also a V on isabel's Charms. Broderick wizard's Card says We know who you really are, and who else COULD he be?

That's still pretty flimsy as evidence of something as supposedly far-reaching as you're billing it to be.

You'll see it in book ten, and then you'll be like all I'm sorry. And only then shall I forgive you.

Vespers
Why else?

There are clues:
Card 153-Broderick - why is he standing in front of Voltaire's Diner with a prominent neon V reflected?
Card 177-Isabel - what is the last name of her parents on the letter from the school?
Card 246-Arthur - why is there a V on the gate? why does it say family traitor? They could have put an M on the gate or left it blank.

Card Pack 4 has decodes that mention the Vespers.

On the burning house mural on the back of the cards, all the branches and Madeleine are shown, Man in Black is shown, who are the others?

I'd have to say the Vespers WILL be mentioned in Book 10. Otherwise, why mention them at all before then?

Except all of those evidences are from the cards. Why spoil the story line for people who have only read the books? That would be pretty poor planning in my opinion. You can't expect all the kids reading these books to be able to afford everything just so they can get this one minutely hinted at thing.

Above all, this is a children's book series. The clues you're offering don't fit that M.O., so it's highly probable that there will be no mention of the Vespers in book 10. Someone else suggested that it could be in the coming clue book, and having it talked about in there is much more believable, though I still highly doubt it.

A-HEM! Fiske Cahill was only on the cards... and slightly noted on the website.
