Revisiting card 137

137 is William's heritage. I am beginning to question whether or not he is a madrigal. Those who have read book nine will understand this by quickly scanning it.

THERE IS A GLARING CONTRADICTION!

plus... he has six toes.

Have you read the excerpt of book 10? If they only tell Madrigals about them, of course he's an Madrigal!

Does someone know how to get the last key in mission 9?

Why? Grace's, Hope's, Amy's, and Dan's name wouldn't normally be Cahill. There was a specific choice made to keep the one name over the other. It's entirely possible that William's parents or William himself made the choice not to keep the name. It certainly gives him more freedom in his interactions with the various other family members.

Don't forget that he dodged the question of whether or not he was a Cahill in the first book. His last name not being Cahill is pretty likely intentional.

It's his mother's!

If he were a madrigal, his last name would be Cahill! Or Green!

Fiske said that Madrigals took their mother's last name, NOT THEIR FATHER'S!

Maybe it wasn't really his mother who was a Cahill. How uncommon can a middle name be? Maybe McIntyre is an anagram, or they have a really confusing line.

Top Secret says Cahill Status confirmed. And I'm thinking why would a Cahill say that? And if Grace was trying to find the Clues to stop people getting it, and McIntyre was going on "business" trips...

Or maybe, there are always people who don't like the people they're working with.

Cahills wouldn't trust anybody, but steal, taking something from the lawyer's safe? That would mean Lucian/Ekat. But then why isn't it a Lucian or Ekat card?

Vespers. If William's mother was a Madrigal and his father was a Vesper. And the Vespers were wondering who's side he was on...

I agree, but that still doesn't answer why HIS LAST NAME ISN'T GREEN!

Thanks for that though.
Oh and caps isn't me screaming it, it's just the main facts.

I gave you possible reasons, you've either overlooked them or are ignoring them.

Your sample size for how firm the tradition of using the mother's maiden name is is awfully small for you to be acting so incredulous over the one person who doesn't appear to be following it.
