The Vespers have stayed hidden from the Cahills (a very secretive bunch themselves) for five hundred years. I somehow doubt they'd dive off a cliff or into a pit, even for the Clues.

If I were Dan, I'd take the serum, PWN beat the Vespers,
then... somehow, I don't see Dan as corrupt enough to rule the world.

 		I have a new theory about the second series.

We all know Isabel Kabra is possibly a Vesper (as indicated by her maiden name, Isabel Vesper-Hollingsworth). Maybe she decided to marry into the Cahill family to milk precious secrets and then relay them back to the Vespers. Maybe that's why she was so crazy about the serum in the first series.

In order to marry Vikram Kabra without arousing suspicion as to her heritage, she would have had to disguise her name. She probably called herself simply "Isabel Hollingsworth" around Vikram and his Lucians. So, she married into Lucian power, found out a bunch of secrets, and was about to bring them to the Vespers when along came Amy and Dan.

She knew she had to eliminate them, so she tried. Many times. So they wouldn't get suspicious of her ties to the Vesper family (even though they knew nothing of the antagonistic group), she pretended to want to protect Lucian secrets, rather than her own heritage.

Finally, after assembling the serum, which she would probably bring back to the Vespers, Amy and Dan defeated her, and she was arrested. At this point, she breaks out of prison, betrays the Lucians, and returns to her Vesper heritage, still carrying most of the secrets she found from Vikram.

Vikram would finally make an appearance and band with everyone else to stop the Vespers and his wife once and for all.

got up at 6 to do it but it wasnt there
