WWII was Lucians (Churchill( Why would a German call a British code breaker a "slimy Lucian"? I've heard that word before! I just don't know what it means. You should keep it that way. It's for your own good.
Cahill web article(The Lucian Amber Room, looted by Nazi Germany, was taken by Ekats ) & Tomas (Usa) & some Ekaterina (rebels?)(Oppenheimer and Project Manhattan) Against Ekaterina (Germany is E(it's never explicitly stated that Hitler was E, Scholastic didn't want to offend anybody, However, the presentation in the Cairo stronghold shows they used concentration camps and created poison delivery systems(Some how I doubt all Jews are Tomas(so many parenthesis! ) with Janus as third party (That one Janus spy woman from mission 9; too lazy to look her up.)

Lucians are generally associated with England/Russia/France/Usa
Ekaterina are generally associated with England/Russia/Germany/Egypt
Tomas are generally associated with Africa/Usa/South America
Janus are generally associated with Italy/Spain/Former Ottoman Empire/
Madrigals like secluded islands and ancient ruins.

Speculations

Just read Vespers Rising a few days back and this book has really put back the excitement and suspense back into the series!. Instead of searching countless years and months for the 39 Clues and discovering their secrets, we know have Gideon's ring and its terrifying power to worry about. Instead of fearing the Madrigals, now its the Vespers and their evil Council of Six instead. Still can't wait for the first book of new Vespers series but until then, we are left to wonder:

1. What is the power of Gideon's ring that makes it so dangerous?
2. Who in the series are likely to be in the Council of Six?

What I think is based on the etching on Gideon's ring which seems to show six phases of the moon, the ring may be an ancient device able to use the power of the moon to bring darkness or to control the tides and unleash powerful tsunamis.

As for the Council of Six, not enough is known now to determine its members but just like the identity if the infamous Man In Black, the answer may be staring at us right in the face. For all you know, Isabel Kabra may be one of them...
