well I'm new to this stuff as my brother just introduced me to this game. I'm currently playing under his account and I would like to thank you for all the codes =) they are very helpful. So I want to know the combining cards is not available yet correct?

did anyone else notice on the card with the "rails of the fence" code instead of "we are discovered, flee at once." it says "do not mess with the ekats?"

i figured out that they messed up a little on the cards because whenever i add a card it goes up the number of cards i have then later it goes back down to the amount i actually have so katsmom its probably because you added some cars and then it corrected itself later

-----
oops what i mean is i add cards and the number goes up even tho they are doubles or triplets and then when i log on later it shows just how many cards i have without triplets and doubles

When I add any cards, the number changes to how many cards I have including doubles, triples, etc... then after logging off and back on it shows just how many cards I have as if there was only one of each.

Thinking too much?

It's called attention to detail. I find a detail that I think can be holding more information, and I use the internet to explore it.

I admit that I may be over-thinking things, but it is mostly because there is no mission. Of course, even if there was a mission it would be over with too quickly. I can't just leave it be; there is so much to read and investigate. I am even considering re-reading the book to catch little things that didn't seem important on the first read -- like the nose ring on Nellie. This game has me hooked! The game creators have put in all sorts of little rabbit trails to follow if you want. I want to believe that there is more there, so I find it. It's a little like the Bugs Bunny cartoons. They may have been for kids, but there was adult humor, also -- another layer if you will. I can't believe that people complain about there being nothing to do while waiting for the next Mission.

About a month ago, there was a post that I meant to follow-up on, but never did.

I don't know if she/he is still lurking around, but I would be interested in what the inaccuracies are. With historical fiction, there will be parts that are not real. I figure this must be what LengaChan was referring to. If you already know the real story, you might think that the fiction part is inaccurate. On the other hand, when you don't know the real story, it can be difficult to deduce which parts are fiction. Anyway, my point is that I think that the parts that are fiction have greater potential to be part of the game.

I was reading up on Grace Cahill the other day and she spent some time in Vienna. I have been meaning to go back to her map and try to figure out how much of it is real. Anyone that's bored about there not being anything to do could look into that. I am amazed that there is so much online these days to cross-reference with. I plan to use google maps to go to the Cafe that Grace was at when she drew the map and look for the street names and landmarks she referenced. Of course, maybe someone has already added those POI to the google map that Maggie created. So much to do, so little time.

So, I know none of it will likely make any difference to the part of the game where kids earn prizes, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of what I am turning up is useful on a second level -- maybe an ARG inside of the game. Wink

Just noticed something today: one of the bonus cards lists Dan and Amy's family branch as "unknown". I think this is important as it's the first view of a game component admitting to whether they know which family they're in or not.

As enlightening as the video might potentially be, it could still simply be a bit of pre-book advertising that didn't have the note that Dan and Amy weren't meant to be named into any one branch yet.

That's my personal feeling on it, that the video wasn't meant to be searched for that kind of info and so the media person assigned to make that openning graphic took a few too many liberties.

The card seems to add weight to this as it's a Cahill card (#407 - The Underdogs) and I'm gonna stick to that story till something comes along that makes me look stupid. (It could be soon, so stick around! Wink )

Correct. The other clues (for us to find) are in the cards and website activities/games.

Now, that doesn't mean that Amy and Dan in the books won't find more than one clue per book, afterall, they found two in the first. (Even if they did keep that second clue hidden from the readers.)

So there are 2 clues per book, and 19 clues that are between the books/for us to find?

What if there are some people who do not play the internet game but read the book, won't they not know the clue?

You misunderstood me. What I meant was, the characters in the story found two clues. We, the fans reading and playing the game tied into these stories, were only given one clue from the first book. Dan and Amy received a clue that it doesn't appear that we the players have gotten yet. However, those fans who are doing everything available to them would have gotten three clues already.

The clues found in the stories and the clues the fans can find will not mirror each other. The pacing will be different, as will the order.

So really, we're following two clue trails. One is the purely entertainment based stories found in the book where we watch what Dan and Amy discover and how. The other is where we find our own path that allows us to collect the 39 clues through the website, game cards, and books.

You are very welcome. I feel like it helped me as much as it did you. I still have other cards if anyone is wanting any. I'm willing to trade, my son needs cards #1-6, 32, and of course 60. I have so many extras I hate to list them all here, just send me a message or email to get the list of what I have available.

I have just a couple of points. First, can everyone on here add their surveillance cards. I have a feeling we are going to need a lot of these throughout the game. I see many people joining in the conversation now, but few adding card numbers.

And just because I'm so nice, (not really, I'm just trying to get people to put up their codes!) here are 2 more codes I found.

22XF2MJPX2
22RJMDPDX2

I have a few friends who have bought this for their kids christmas presents, so after the holidays I'll have a few more to add.

I have two of the pdf files for the promotional cards, the amazon uk card, the one from the times. I also have a copy of hte family tree from Scholastic. Is there anyway to load those on here?

I'm also convinced that cards 408, 409, and 412 don't exist. I've looked high and low over the past two weeks and can't find them anywhere. Has anyone else had any luck at all with these? Or do you think they are duplicates like some of those found already?

And a question; has anyone put in duplicate cards yet? Does it do anything? I was just looking at the booklet that came with the card sets, and it says they can be combined in different ways.

Looking at the bruce wiki, I see that numbers 401 & 413, 416 &400, and 415 & 402 are the same. Are the sharable codes the same, or are there two different codes for these? I can't find this anywhere.
