Uhh... hasn't this been brought up like a thousand times?

There are threads dedicated to monster debates... and I know for sure I saw at least 2 with the Beast and 20,000 leagues under the sea mentioned.

oh here we go again it is not beast from 20000 fathoms JJ said it was going to be original.

i did the search but nothing came up
anyways i didnt say it was going to be the same monster but there are things that we can learn from old classics

i searched for it just to be sure, "Beast from 20000 fathoms" i used

only came up this post and i used each of the queries "Search for any terms or use query as entered" and "Search for all terms"

so can't trout when we can't link, but yes, it has been talked about before

It has been discussed at length the trailers are similar also(with the exception you see see the beast through out)

JJ has said that he loved this movie(one of the first major monster movies in america) so I'm sure there will be similar elements but not a remake by any means
