so.....is that a giant eyeball in the reflection of the helicopter???
Is there a still of that image posted somewhere on the board?
It would be nice if someone could get these frames isolated if possible.

Comparison of the explosions. The new one is definitely MUCH MUCH MUCH more detailed.
*EDIT* Also, I Highly doubt MGP's eye can be seen from the helecopter for one reason. Why is... lily i think... as close to the window as possible? If there was a monster on that side of the helecopter, I know for sure I would be on the OTHER side.

true unless Unless as the chopper goes up she sees the monster and just can't take her eyes off of such a sight....kinda like when there's a car accident....people just gotta look no matter how horrific it is.

Mini posters Think we could get a photo of the mini posters yuo managed to rip down?
(Unless you're not serious about having them/seeing them)
It'd be cool to see this go the way of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie and scatter lightbrites about NY . . . or slusho vendors on the streets.

Drastic changes in visual FX in this movie. Ive never seen a film thats been changed FX wise late in the game from trailer to trailer, but then again, Ive never scrutonized trailers like this movie before, so im sure it nothing new. The fact that they actually made the first Teaser trailer before the actual movie and any other scene, of course then the teaser was gonna be under developed graphically...but i just figured they would have get it all right from the start how they wanted it, including the SOL head modifications, explosion mods, etc., but then again, thats the magic of editing process.

It happens. They went back and touched up Transformers when everyone complained about Optimus Prime's lips. The initial trailers/teasers for Hulk had worse FX than the movie did. It's more common than you think, especially when a shot is scrutinized by the fans.
CGI in post production is usually the LAST thing that gets done. I can't remember what movie it was but in a recent film they were doing FX on it until mere days before the film was due to be released. I think it was finished about a week before the premiere date. In any case, since all the editing on CGI is done as part of the render, they can work on it until the very last minute.

All of the these F/X changes make me wonder if Paramount has increased the budget from the rumored $30m.

that could be a possibility, I don't think Paramount expected this much hype.

Awesome new tv spot, and did anyone else notice that we can hear the monster's roar more intimately now? I like it, it's more like how "close" who heard the roar in the teaser.
Thanks for posting =P

for anyone who still hasn't seen a TV spot on their own TV and wants to, I was watching FOX last night from 12:00 to 1am (simpsons and king of the hill..haha) and they played three or maybe even four cloverfield trailers. So Latenight Fox seems like the place to be for Cloverfield tv spots.

it's just something on the interior roof of the heli. I'd say that would have been a pretty terrifying shot if they could have put it together with a reflection shot in mind. oh, well.

I actually loved the music, but I just hope there won't be any in the movie [with the exception of the party].
But the part where Rob says, "We're going to go after him," sparks up a memory of a past thread about the commercial at Carmike Cinema where one of the "tag lines" was "Who would you save?"
Perhaps Rob has to make a choice between saving "J.J." [his brother] or "Beth" [his love]
If he chooses a girl that is obviously oblivious to the fact that he loves her, he is the biggest tool in the universe.
