[SPEC] Alien Something Has Found Us So now that two of my favorite theories about the movie have been confirmed (The title is "Cloverfield" and it does NOT occur on 01-18-08 ) there is another fav of mine that I'm waiting on.
The monster is an alien.
The tag line on the grab contest, which has since been removed, I think, was "Something Has Found Us."
Not, "We Found Something" or "Tagruato Found Something."
Something has found us. Found who? The Slusho 7? Tagruato? Or more likely... Humanity?
Any thoughts?
Can't wait!!
Of course, I still have that Blake Lively thing going too.
[EDIT] to remove the unintentional smiley at top

The fact that the movie doesn't take place on 1/18/08 is seriously one of your favorite theories?

Personally, I'd prefer it if the monster wasn't an alien.
It just seems more creepy when you think about this thing living in our oceans undetected for who-knows-how-long.
Not that we'd necessarily find out either way.

And please don't use "Something has found us" as proof. The monster doesn't have to be alien to find the royal "us".

Six
Seven: Something Has Found Us

Oh hell yeah.
I ranked this one almost as high as the "It's A Lion" debate. No way.

and what of parallel dimensions?
also...this face hugger myth is laughable. There is no proof that "face hugger" aliens exist. WY researchers have proved this over and over.

I'd say there is a slim chance of it being from a different planet, but it would make for some nice sequels. The world is long overdue for some "new" extra terrestrial stories to dream about.

Anteros, the only of the above articles that actually prove it's an alien are the two that happen to be based on the same source(?), who is not even named.
No, you have no hard facts.

You're absolutely right, I have no hard facts.
But the originators of the Alien theory (owners of that Coney Island park) are also the ones who first said the story was a flashback, of someone finding a camera in a disaster area. This has proven to be true. It is also the origins of the $30m budget, as far as I know.
So why not? Tagruato suddenly and cold-heartedly sending a rocket into space?
Teddy telling us Tagruato has "found or made something?"
Did they find something in space and then use DSN on it?
IDK... what I do know is that I can't wait to watch this film and I have all my close friends in the same tizzy.

Yeah most of your proof isn't really proof at all most ofit is just people speculating.
Hell one of the articles said they find the camera at Coney Island, which is one thing we know for sure isn't true. If the Coney island scene(s) arfe shot in the same way as the rest of the movie (shaky cam) then one would assume that it would either come at the very beginning, sort of a Rob's going away tape which includes they're trip to Coney Island. Or it's at the end for emotional purposes to show that they taped over better times before. In either of the instances the Coney Island stuff probably doesn't fit too much of the story.
The quote that I believe is from one of the park owners bugged me since the first time I read it, it just came off as a guy who wasn't paying too much attention when he signed the release
It very well maybe an alien and not a mutation I would say they are neck and neck for probability wise.
Something has found us just goes right along with Rob's "About 5 hours ago something attacked the city." So basically what I read into all of this is that Grumpypants it just gonna really really weird looking probably indistinguishable from any basic animal wether it be whale or whatever
