None of us, including you[pointing my finger in a very broad arc] know what this is. We wont, until the movie comes out. Now, as much as I enjoy a good bukakke reference, what I can't do is stand by and watch someone knowingly pimp an idea that even THEY know is crap. 1-18-08 SLUSHOMAKESUHAPPY, turn off the caps lock, take a deep breath, and watch a Marx Bros. movie, to re-adjust your perspective.

I absolutely love the idea that this could be a follow-up/redemption to Zilla. If there was one thing that we could have done without f'ing up, it would have been doing Toho proud, and carrying the radioactive torch. Instead, we handed one of the most influential properties ever created to a bunch of hacks and tit-joke writers, and a guy that couldn't direct a hard-on in a strip bar.

Now. Ease the clench. I am saying this for your own good. Your a cool little dude, and you have a ton of heart. Just be easy. This isn't going the way you think it is. But stay, and give that kind of devotion to some of the puzzles that are apparent.

Ive said it once ive said it a thousand times. Its not gonna be anything anyone knows. Its something entirely new. Something so over the top unbelievable that you cant guess what it is gonna be before you see it. But thats just my opinion

Hey guys, i'm new to all this. I just wanted to say something about the connection between Zilla and it being an original monster movie. I've been a big fan of Godzilla movies since I was little, and the one thing I noticed was that Godzilla didn't just spawn one monster but more then 20 different monsters, my favorites being Destoroyah, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. To sit there and say that Godzilla was the only Jap monster that was created would be ignorant. Well couldn't that be was J.J. is trying to do to Zilla? This is just a thought, but maybe he's creating an original monster, one that no one has ever seen, as a way to complement the american zilla movie in creating a new American Monster Movie genre. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if there's movie later on where the two fight against each other.
As everyone knows by now, J.J. was inspired when he went to Japan, by all the little toys of Godzilla and the other monsters that were created. The american zilla had already been created, so to make a movie on Zilla again wouldn't make it original. I heard people talk about Zilla being the original monster for the movie because he is America's original movie monster, but then that would make King Kong the original, seeing as how he came out before Zilla did. That just doesn't make any sense to call Zilla an original monster when Kong had already made his mark on America before Zilla was ever a concept.
In regards to all the clues pointing to Zilla, i.e. the Dorritoes commercial, it could just be a way of associating Cloverfield with Zilla, creating a new genre. It reminds me of how monsters like Mothera, Gamera, and Rodan played off of Godzilla's success.

P.S. Sorry guys if this is the wrong place to post this, i'm a noob at this, so you don't have to point that out. I just felt this was the right place to post this since it talks about Zilla, and sorry if someone had already posted something like this in another post. I don't the time to read every post on this website.
