 		Zilla is effectively attached to the original Godzilla in terms of brand and marketing. To have them be owned and controlled by different parties would lead to horrid inconsistencies that would tend to destroy their mythos and drive off the fan base. Look at what is happening to Star Trek fandom in light of Abrams making the next Trek movie - many are abandoning the franchise in fear that it'll be so thrown off course that it's universe will be nothing more than a figurative black hole of incontinuity.

Ask yourself this:
What happened to Captain Marvel?
You know, the character with the namesake of Marvel Comics?
DC Comics bought him (and his 'family') and tried to rebrand him as "Shazaam" - and well...
He's basically a dead character.

ugh... you REALLY want this one don't you? If it were Godzilla- wouldn't they just call the movie "Godzilla?" Look, I'm being really sympathetic about this one because I'm putting myself in your shoes.

[example]: I REALLY want the monster to have tentacles, anywhere really- on its face, apendages, maybe even as multiple tails... So, when I look through the movie, I try to see hints of their being tentacles being used... So that hinders my perspective of seeing things for what they are sometimes. But if the man who made this movie says that he wants America to have THEIR OWN MONSTER, and not Godzilla- why would he do a complete 180 and make a re-recreation? That's just a bad idea coming from another bad idea.

zilla, lol, doesnt have very many fans. And im trying to say that TOHO wants to make the monster famous. Thus JJ abrams comes wanting to buy the rights and here we are. Look at zillas movie. The monster was never shown before it came out. They have to do something bigger this time.

 		I'm changing this thread up...

I'm tired of all the commercial stuff/interview stuff... don't get me wrong- I'm not anti-advertisement... But i'm ready for some more A.R.G/A.R.E. material.

I feel like i'm watching a sit-com with nothing but [to be continued...] at the end of every scene... or a crackhead waiting for his next fix.
