Hi, I`m Vlad, I`m webmaster of one German University. In my free from work and Cloverfield time (if I have any, hehe), I write my dissertation about literary avant-garde (dadaism, surrealism etc.), write a novel, write my German and Russian blogs, film with my handycam weird stuff and read "House of Leaves" (OK, I wanted to finish the book for months, but Cloverfield has everytime the priority for me)... Uff... Shocked

Wait...House of Leaves...that wouldn't happen to be the book John Fowles loves to natter on about in The Magus, would it? Any good?

I think I'm cute. Wink I'm also vain for no real reason. Pick on me. I have thick skin.

And I keep telling my husband that my geeky friends are all lovely geeky people Very Happy

I'm 35, live in Bristol UK (hi underwaterdonkey!!), work from home which is a double edged sword as the forums & my Xbox are always calling when I'm meant to be working.

When I am working, I work advising construction companies about training. When I'm not working, I knit, play on my Xbox 360, go to gigs, watch films & read books. Oh, & I blog at http://settersknitspop.blogspot.com/

36 y/o bizarro-chick here.

Editor, book reviewer, author and sometimes p-shop queen. Friends with many other excellent authors and a great advocate of reading and buying books (do it).

Definite spazz with nerd-like tendencies. Pushing 40, but probably still emotionally about 22, despite the unavoidable gray hairs appearing on my head.

Always looking for the next sci-fi/fantasy addiction; BSG being the latest, however there appears to be some decent stuff on the horizon.

Thinks Joss Whedon should be canonized. Saint Joss... Sounds good.

I know nothing about Cthulthu (or however the hell you spell it... e.v.i.l). I claim no bottomless knowledge of sci-fi trivia, but I do enjoy it very much. I have never attended a sci-fi conference in my life and will likely never will (unless I'm a vendor).... you won't catch me dead in Deanna Troi's (sp?) intergalactic cheerleader outfit. I do confess to having friends who speak Klingon tho; and some who also claim to be vampires. It's quite droll.

Enjoy action and sci-fi fantasy movies far more than I could ever care for a chick-flick. I thought Pitch Black rocked ass, and that all copies of Titanic should be loaded onto a shuttle and shot into the sun.

That's me.

I <3 you HerOdessy.

My bf has gotten me hooked on BSG. We're still in the first season but with the writer's strike we'll have time to catch up.

I believe the world is better because of Farscape. I cried when Zahn and Stark died.

Joss Whedon is greatness. FIREFLY/SERENITY. Love it!

Loved Pitch Black - love Vin Diesel (yes, yes he is!)!!! Titanic - only watched the last part, when the ship sank into the ocean. All it was good for. Waste of celluloid, IMO.

Edited to add my disdain for Titanic.

The only thing hotter than Vin is Daniel Craig.

I want to wash my clothes on his abs.

Yum.
