Thank you, Starshiptrooper and dontlookmyage. Very Happy

And now I'd better go to bed so that I don't trip walking my baby girl down the aisle later today!

Good night all.

I'd go for an intentional trip... nothing better than physical humor.

Speaking of weddings...

Two of our good friends got married this past June at Adventurcon in Knoxville, TN.

The groom is on the right. On the left is the guest of honor for the wedding, Jeremy Bulloch, wearing the Boba Fett costume for the first time since Return of the Jedi.

What did the bride wear?

I think it is interesting that the original costume was just a bunch of stuff glued together that probably cost $100 and people spend thousands trying to recreate it. I'm not knocking it. Everyone has hobbies. It's just funny how it works out.

The bride wore a reproduction of the wedding gown from "The Labrynth".

The best man was Vader, and the groomsmen were Stormtroopers.
The ushers wore HALO armor, and the preacher wore an Imperial Officer uniform. There were probably 200 people there, more than half of them in some sort of costume.

My girlfriend has the pics on her memory stick, i'll get them up soon.

Here's the video from the local news station

Ah, found 2 pics.

Here's the groomsmen, I'm the second Stormtrooper

And here's Hollie (My Girlfriend) and I after the service. She lurks here daily, be nice!

But it's better than being on crack, eh?

I think coc may be healthier than that...
Not to knock it or anything. That's just a bit beyond obsessive imo.

It could be worse...
They could've been Klingons.

We DO have standards! This is just something we do every now and then, the Star Trek people will actually wear their stuff to work! And I've never even thought about building the Enterprise bridge in my basement.

I am a freelance journalist, aspiring (read unpublished) novelist, to join in on the conversation.

You gotta be careful with this topic. Star Wars fans vs Star Trek fans is an ongoing battle. Doesn't make sense to me since they are both sci fi. As it was explained to me by a Star Wars fan, "Star Trek is just silly. None of that stuff can happen. It's not real like Star Wars."

LOL. That's a good one. I am a Star Wars fan myself, and can't stand Star Trek, but I think its the lightsabers that swayed me the most. Smile

(then I go home and try not to talk about it at the dinner table)

Now you've got me wondering which rural interstate type highway that is.
Looks like someplace in the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountain system, somewhere from Wyoming south. If not there, then it could be western slope into the California Central Valley region.

Southern California; South Kern/Northern Los Angeles County area; Town of Mojave.

Those are the Tehachapi Mountains, CA Route 58

Oh, btw Euchre, how did you know where it was?
