Rocket powered turtles are completely uncalled for.
I would rather the monster be a giant snail.

That would be creepy. Imagine the slime. And the giant eye stalks.

It's so clear. It was all right there in front of us the whole time.

That's not Marlena expanding in the clips. It's foreshadowing to what will happen to EVERY. SINGLE. UNFICTION. MEMBER. when we discover that it really is Godzilla. When we stand up to vomit, out bodies will be outlined on the screens by the projector lights, we'll rapidly expand from disappointment, and our innards will become our outards.

JJ Abrams, Master of Foreshadowing.

Damn, should have seen that one coming.

On a few lighter notes:

Having run multiplexes for a number of years, it'll be a late night when those cans are delivered on Wed or Thurs, and I guarantee you that more than one employee will be sticking around late on Thurs to watch the spliced version as a first viewing.

And when are we going to decide who is going to see the flick where. I'd love to know if anyone else in Madison, WI will be seeing it at Eastgate. My wife has been dragged into this whole thing, even she's jonesing for opening night.
