This one is pretty compelling, as it has the claws and the weird stuff on its back that seems to fit in with the glimpse from the trailer. Obviously, complete spec, but a nice "what if?" situation. Smile

All of his stuff is great. Should look through that gallery before going to sleep. Would probably have some twisted dreams.

There is a photo of that model somewhere on this site, I think it's for a game.

There's quite a bit of his stuff there, like this:

That's a nice site. Those artists work is amazing. I can barely draw a stick-figure.

9 of 26 in the 2d section is an underwater creature whom releases smaller extremophile looking organisms from its mouth. If I had to choose which would resemble the cloverfield monster...I choose 9 of 26, most definitely. The image is also just really bad ass with the glowing stomach, this dude is nothing to be messed with.

PS, the orange extremophile has 6 eyes! lol

I'm late to the game on this (out of town over the holiday), but OMG, yes...9 of 26 would be my guess as the closest concept design for the monster!

I sent this e-mail to Peter last week:

I've been on your website, and really like your work.

Today, I got this reply:

Hey there;
Glad you liked the troopers stuff. Small correction- i'm not the
art director of the whole movie, just the creature stuff. But no, I
doubt they will release any creature shots before the premiere, you'll

just have to go see. I think it will be good though. Going to the
workshop?

/pk

I don't know what that last line means...

Interesting, nothing at Google.

Did you ask him?

I notice they've removed Peter's contact info on the conceptart.org forum.
He's also removed his contact info from his profile and taken the "contact me" button off his webpage.

So how many of you have been burning up his inbox? Laughing

Today I sent him this e-mail:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry, the forum I found you on just lists you as the
art director. So, did you design all the creatures in
the movie, or just the main monster? Reports are that
the smaller monsters resemble the Arachnids from SST.

If the monsters resemble your other work, I can't wait
to see it.

Thanks.

------------------------------------------------------------

Let's see if I can trick him into admitting there's small monsters!

This:

http://www.conceptart.org/workshop/

is the workshop. It's an art and design workshop on January 4th through the 7th in Seattle that Peter will be at. He was just asking me if I was coming. Sadly, no. Bit of a drive for me.
