Maybe, but if I were in their position I'd be worried the monster would just obscure / burry the evidence temporarily. No way of knowing where the info packet she has will end up, or who might dig it up eventually. I'd want to reach out and touch the loose ends to tie them up. A few people going missing in New York is going to cause fewer questions / suspicion than a giant monster wrecking the place I think.

Please tell me you didn't call any of the numbers that headman posted.

Those are guesses, we HAVE a number for Tagruato.

Whoah, slow down Skippy! Don't get your panties in a bunch. Just trying to decipher the numbers and did not intend to mislead anyone into any unnecessary long distance calls. I shall edit my posts. My apologies if I did so!

Next time, check that we don't already have a number before doing stuff like that, I was more bothered about someone being woken up at stupid-o-clock in the morning than the person making the long distance call.

Also, don't call me Skippy and don't say crap like "Don't get your panties in a bunch."

Laughing I guess I struck a nerve. I humbly apologize to you Sir. Just try not to get so worked up and lighten up a bit, life is too short.

Just so you know, I am completely aware that we have a number for Tagruato. I was only trying to see if it was a different number than the one we currently have. It is completely plausible do you not agree? Please do not make assumptions and forgive me for trying to contribute.

Yeah, you struck a nerve by being patronising and making out like I was the bad guy, even though you're the one who posted random phone numbers for people to call.

Sure, it's plausible that it's a different number, but it's impossible to tell what she's dialling when the buttons are facing away from us. In which case, if it's not the number we already have then we're just not supposed to know it.

I'm pretty sick of all of these posts involving guesses using info that we just don't have. Like the bloody pseunmoisuf thing where it's been suggested that it could mean anything from "one month Unfiction" to a telephone number.

The PMs wouldn't make it next to impossible for us to figure out the next move, the only blip we've had on this game is where for some reason the collective couldn't figure out TIDOWave from the clues because we all had a brainfart.

Either the answer is simple or it's not something to be figured out, this game isn't aimed at codebreaking, phone hacking, mathematical geniuses.

Stop spamming threads.

I can't take that much irony in my diet.

If I may, it is possible that since Tagruato is such a large (although fake) company that all calls are recorded. Once a call is taken there can be "key words" that flag something within their security. In this case Teddy Hanssen was the key word that sent the flag to security along with the number associated with the call.

That's actually a really good point. I've never worked in security, nor had the responsibility of answering phones, so I didn't really consider this.
Would the security call back that fast though?

Just a thought I can tell has already passed through a few heads.

Jamies friend could be Beth, who gets a much more responsive telephone number for Jamie to call personally, off of Tagruato's new marketing employee, Rob.

who says they aren't part of the clean-up crew sent in to contain the "oil" spill and subsequently be part of the disaster clean-up crew

Depending on what number she dialed, maybe she was speaking to security all along? They are a fairly security psycho bunch.

But Rob doesn't want to speak to Beth and Rob isn't her boyfriend.

I think it much more likely that it's Hawk who got the number, that's if it's one of the S7.

Ah, thank you for the correction. I have not kept up with relationship statuses in the MySpace realm. It is plausible to assume that it is one one the seven.
