the number 3912 [SPEC] a deeper search into the number 3912 i'm just wondering if perhaps we overlooked the importance of the 3912 number.
i did a simple google search and check what i found. as of now i don't have a clue as to what it means, but seems to be very interesting about the part that's it's "linked" to homo sapiens.
if you click on the LAMB1 link and read that paragraph the ending says:
"A sequence in the beta 1 chain that is involved in cell attachment, chemotaxis, and binding to the laminin receptor was identified and shown to have the capacity to inhibit metastasis."
if anyone could make some sense of this, that'd be sweet.
this is some genome site or something:
check the link here
side-note i also researched metastasis to see wtf that is and found this:
metastasis - wikipedia
i think the definition is quite interesting and might even somehow relate to that chick that's exploding.
or maybe i'm looking too far into the whole thing. effin Lost >.<
if anyone has any ideas, please post

Sounds like inhibiting metastasis would be a good thing. I doubt that metastisizing would cause someone to blow up/expand mucho. I'm leaning more towards coincidence, mostly because something as complex as this wouldn't be the best to include in a movie viewed by people without medical PhD's. Still, good find though!

Since its not a translation issue, I'll post my response here too, in case this thread goes somewhere:

I Google searched "3912 garbanzos" and found a hit for a website about the gameshow Jeopardy! Show number 3912 aired on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. "Garbanzos" is included in an answer for category "Give Peas a Chance."

Holy shit, that's actually kind of scary. It might actually be a clue. There's been a massive debate about relation between 9/11 and Cloverfield.
Wth is garbanzos, btw?
EDIT: Peas... nvm.

Chick peas used to make me vomit when I ate them as a kid. Didn't like the taste.
Like Marlena exploding!
Oh, and "chick peas" are aka "garbanzo beans."
