pics of first few puzzles

ok. Ive scanned and attached here the first few puzzles that I think relate to the rabbit hole clue and overall ARG. To refresh everyone's brain, the rabbithole clue is :

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If it is rabbits that you seek you better take a peak.
Its not hard if you look just turn the pages of the book.

The horse will speak her name as he launches this collosal game.

Find him first and then use these numbers to quench your thirst 7,8,9,38,51

There are no page numbers in this book. The only numbers i see are the chapter numbers and codes.

EDIT: I've added another scan. Its of the first page of text after the Horse pic. I think it may be relevant to the numbers given in the rabbithole clue. I hope I dont get hit with copyright infringement Wink

EDIT 2: Poop. I've reached my upload limit. I'll figure another way to get it out here. But I need to get some work done first.

Thanks for scanning those in! Could someone please check the horse one? I am getting a black square with a touch of color on the top with my download.

Can't wait for my book to get here

Re: pics of first few puzzles

Thanks for uploading that, I'll take a look at everything once I get home. My copy should be in before Friday. Smile
After Friday I get my copy for free. Very Happy

You should be okay as long as you don't upload the entire book and the files you upload are strictly for helping others with the puzzles.

I've had alot of good experience with www.4shared.com. Maybe use it or another service like it, then just post the links here?

Thanks! I figured as much -- that it wouldnt be an issue if it was part of a puzzle. I'll look into the alternative for the uploads.

You're welcome. Also, would you mind uploading them as gif or jpg? I keep getting errors trying to open those files.

And if you're just uploading images, I've found www.imageshack.us is one of the best. It's what I use for pictures.

Is there a chat room set up for this yet? I just got my book, I'm surprised at how big it is.

No chat room yet that I know of.

I finally got the images to work. Through Quicktime for some reason.

Was looking at the inside cover pic and figured out how the letters were arranged. Looks to me that they were arranged going clockwise, every other space, then at "M" the direction reverses. X and Z are not included.

Attached is a pic which I hope shows some of my thinking.

Click for bigger pic.

That first page is on the website. For what it's worth, the greek translates to "LEARN TO UNLEARN."

Certainly not the hardest thing to decode in this one by the looks of things Very Happy

I'm really digging the artwork for this. Gives it a nice unique feel. Anyone recognise any of the text at all? The writing on the mean-looking dude sort of sounds like a riddle. Also, there's a date at the bottom of 1-13-03. At least, it reads like a date. Could be a misleading.

I'm guessing the "Think again" quotes are clues as to what to look for, i.e. a typo maybe. Sorry if I'm being obvious and/or repeating, but I'm tired, and hey... it's my first day Rolling Eyes

There's also some writing off on the right hand side.

If I read that right.

preview

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, so here goes:

For anyone (like myself) who hasn't picked up the book yet (or maybe isn't sure if they want to), there's a pretty good preview of it on google Books here.

Looks like the prologue and chapters 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 19, and 20 are available in their entirety, including images.

Can anyone who does have the book take a look at this and say how good the preview stacks up to the real thing in terms of completeness and quality?

(note: when checking that URL in IE I got a "This page is either not available or you've reached your preview limit" message pretty quickly... have not had that occur yet with FF.)
