Maybe this is some person who just wanted to get attention and see how the board reacts to that "leak" post, I mean if its true that person who posted it should have stayed around and answered questions, like he or she said they would

yeah they do
which did you download so far?
I did a search on "Cloverfield," sorted the results by size, and have currently worked my way down to the 713 MB WMV file. I think that's probably around the lower liimt of how big it could possibly be, so I probably won't bother with anything below it if this turns out to be a fake, too.

OK, so this is the first time I've ever posted without reading the whole thread.
I refused to cause I don't want potential spoilers.
This must be the source for the person who promised my son a 40 minute clip of Cloverfield, which my son amazingly turned down. Kudos to him!
I'm gonna be there on 01-18-08 and I want it to be a fresh experience!
Hmm... so a veteran member confirms that there's a leak, albeit 40 minutes, floating around out there. The plot thickens.
I don't think Anteros' son getting an offer for a 40 minute segment of the film that he turned down and thus never verified for Anteros and thus not for us, constitutes a 'confirmation' of a leaked full workprint. I don't think Anteros probably meant it as that either.
This is true. In another thread I posted about the veracity of the person making this offer. He has previously had available to him footage of unreleased film that my son HAS watched ("300" and "Rise of the Silver Surfer") so I said it was hard to doubt his recent offer. However, when it came to this, my boy refused the offer (too high a price) and I commend him for it.

Am I the only one who finds the fact that people who download Cloverfield may actually get porn instead rather hilarious?
Yes?
I'll go back under my rock then.
(Porn and a virus would just be icing.)

So then.
Pending conclusive proof,
this can be seen as false.

The OP is probably a regular member with an alias and a strange desire to conduct pointless social experiments to gauge reactions.
Reminds me a eon8, but lame

Just chiming in to say that, yes, all the "Cloverfield" files on eMule are indeed porn. No leaks there.

I still suggest that someone should wade through the mess that is 'IRC' and see if they can find anything.

Without a channel, thats like saying asking someone to find you a specific fish in the ocean.
