I'll be completely honest, all you did was give us a new term to call the monster. Calling it a USO just tells us it's an unidentified submerged object.

Of course it's fits, considering we already knew the monster came from the ocean.

Of course it's the origin of the monster (I refuse to call him that name you us).

The only thing you got wrong was considering a USO to be an alien. It's not. It's an unidentified submerged object. Get it right :-p

We still don't know about the monster's origin. The sonar picture (Assuming it is of MGP...which we all seem to agree on right now) tells us something big is in the water. That alone doesn't explain where it comes from. I think what MisterMudd was trying to say, Kraker, is that it might have come from space beforehand and was dormant in the ocean until it was disturbed/discovered in some way. It's another theory for us to consider.

However, I'm also pretty sure things like this have already been speculated though...so it might be trout.

Edit: In reference to "It" I meant a ship of some kind that might have housed what later became grumpypants. USO's don't always have to be considered ships. Still...personally I don't think it would be a USO...just some organic lifeform that was tampered with.

I meant in the sense that it wouldn't be a ship housing the monster.

The funny thing is, they probably won't ever say whether it's an alien or not within the context of this movie.

OK, to the two of you condescending people who pulled the "Of course its a USO.":

Come down off of your pedestals. I was suggesting that this could be alien, not that the monster itself was a USO. But perhaps the movie would serve as an explanation for the USO sightings in Argentina or something.

Jesus you guys are pricks. It's a friggin movie, and whether or not you agree with my spec, I don't care. But for pete's sake get over yourselves.
