I dont know if this has been discussed already, I am sure it has, to lazy to look. I was thinking why would the monster just rip off the SOL head and throw it instead of knocking the whole thing down. Im guessing its either angry. or smart enough to do that. I mean if I was some monster just woken up , why would I rip off the head and throw it into NYC with precision and not just trash everything

Maybe one of the monster's many appendages accidentally whacked the head off of Lady Liberty and it careened off of a skyscraper. Or the director thought it would be a dramatic set piece that he could use to generate a "viral buzz" to promote the film. I suspect, with growing pessimism, that it's the latter.

stop coming up with the gayest theories ive heard. its an alien get over it. and yes it does fit in the arg. it could have crash landed in a meteor and has been discovered. and it looks like zilla..like my first and 2nd post said.
