JJ Abrams; using us to push his new show
So I was discussing Lost with a friend who is watching for the first time (latecomer to the show). The conversation naturally moved to Cloverfield after passing the poster on 31st and 3rd(I think). We were discussing all of Abrams' other works and he brought up his upcoming series on ABC, 6 Degrees. A promotion can be found in the Lost Season 2 dvd set.

So is Abrams using his popular ARE to promote his other work. Is the number 6's popularity in this game only a reflection of his shameless self-promotion? The number 6 can also be seen in the new Lost season 4 promo.

That's quite a while ago now, surely at the latest that'd be the Fall/Autumn that just passed.

There's nothing on IMDB for it - so I'm not sure what has happened to it, unless anyone recognises the actors out of the 2 upcoming TV shows he's got coming up.

 		well by the time we all have seen cloverfield and got through the whole new season of LOST we will all be brainwashed to follow anything with a six in it.

thats the exact moment when he is gonna walk back into ABC's office and propose his new TV series.

 		There is a 6 that flashes in the LOST season 4 teaser commercial, but I don't think it is related to Cloverfield.

I believe it has something to do with the new season and the "rescue" boat. I won't say anymore because it could be a spoiler for LOST.

FWIW, I thought Six Degrees was a good show. It ran during the Fall 2006 season, but was canceled before the end of the season (along with a bunch of other shows). The premise was about a bunch of NYers who's lives were strangely interconnected - kind of like in Lost where the characters would run into one another in their flashbacks (Sawyer and Jack's dad for example).

Maybe it's JJs favorite number? Explanations don't necessarily need to be complex.

I didn't know 6 Degrees had anything to do with him, but it was a pretty decent show. I was sorry to see they canned it, especially since they kept that awful "Brothers and Sisters" show. Emmy be damned, that show sucks.
