So, when does Slusho go on sale in the USA? Perhaps this is coming next. Approval of Slusho by the FDA has to happen before it can be sold here(as mentioned on the Tag site), yet we see and hear many references that lead us to believe that its already available when the film happens.
Perhaps we will see some Tagruato updates soon.
Any ideas?

so there is something that i wanted them to do, but after seeing how much everyone shit a brick when the movie was announced as pg-13 i can't imagine how much they would call j.j. a sell out if he did it.
SLUSHO available at 7-11's kinda like they did with the simpsons movie. I think that would be awesome.

Imagine if there was a sign at the bottom of the cup: "Drink more than Six!! ... Or ELSE"
I would drink it, cause I think JJ actually made that catchphrase so Slusho profits might help overall profits...

Most of the movie theatres I have been in lately offer Icee drinks. Comes in a blue & white stripped cup (with a polar bear). Perhaps they will change the signage when Cloverfield is being shown?

This would be the most feasible way to go about doing it.

Beyond doubtful. Slusho is used as part of the viral marketing campaign. Average Joe has no idea what it is. If they sold it in theaters or in a 7-11, how the heck would anyone know it had anything to do with Cloverfield?
Would be fun, but not gonna happen, plain and simple.

All that would need to happen was for Paramount/JJA or whomever to contract with Icee(sp?) to replace existing cups with Slusho! promo cups. They can state the name of the Movie or whatever on the cup as well. Very cheap to do it this way.
Crosspromo.
peace.

backstory isnt required for Slusho
if Tagruato's logo and name is on the cup, that'd be an easy connection. I'm sure something will be mentioned in the movie
but Slusho's been on Heroes, and its gonna "probably" be in the movie itself (convenience store scene?)
thay've already designed the cup, and they drink itself wont be a new type of ICEE
it's be easy...

I'm not saying I wouldn't love it, just that it would make no sense. Even if Slusho turns out to play a major role in the movie, the fact is that nobody outside of people following the viral stuff (a minute % of the people who will see the movie...a VERY minute %) would have any idea about it until they saw the movie.
Could see them doing the viral thing where they hire a bunch of people to wander the streets giving out Slusho samples, because that fits the overall campaign strategy. But something like The Simpsons' 7-Eleven promotion seems waaay out of the question. (Sadly.)

That's the whole point of viral marketing - you get people to ask questions and pass along information. You get the consumer to come to you. People seeing this 'Slusho' thing would ask questions, and that would pique their interest.

Yeah the 7-Eleven cross promo idea seems like it would be way out of budget for Cloverfield.
