[PRESS] Shopping mall - bluetooth kiosk downloads
stupid technology

Hey gang!

I work in a shopping mall in Victoria, Australia (Highpoint - a.k.a. Knifepoint, for all you locals reading this). Every so often in the mall, you will come across an information touch-screen computer thingy to search for stores and shite... anyhow, when they're not being used, they usually play ads.

TA DAAAAAAAAAA

A cloverfield as appeared today and I stared at it in amazement during my lunch break. So good to see off my computer screen for once.

Anyhow, after the ad played, the info kiosk advertised free Blurtooth Cloverfield downloads for mobile phones. I was soooo freakin excited!!!

1. Turn on your Bluetooth (It said)
2. Wait for an incoming package (It continued)
3. Accept the download (It stated)

I turned my bluetooth on and made my phone on visible and... NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

The bastard didn't work!!!! I'll try again when I work next and tell you what it gives me!

My buddy in marketing was talking about this technology in advertising. He said he was fairly certain this would be the next wave of Cloverfield ads. I have Bluetooth enabled on my phone, and I'm headed toward the malls after work. Maybe I'll get lucky and have something sent my way. Who knows!! Thanks for the heads up.

Any chance you can get a picture of those ads at the kiosk?

Hmmm... I clearly wasn't thinking at the time...

I'll see how I go over the next few days.

Cheers

did you try scanning the area for bluetooth devices? to check if theres bluetooth signal from it

be careful of viruses! make sure to open your bluetooth when you're on the booth and to turn it off afterwards, and install an anti-virus. A friendly reminder from the texting(sms) capital of the world ! Wink
