Where I'm from, 9 times out of 10, the first people to harp on something come from a particular religious background. Primarily Christian. They like to attack anything. Maybe she worships Allah or Buddah. It was a bad generalization and my apologies to anyone I may have offended.

 		I live in New York too. My feeling is that anyone who is disturbed by this monster movie and what it evokes about 9/11 needs therapy. They obviously haven't dealt with their feelings and psychological trauma from what they suffered. They need to get some help to deal with it.

I haven't seen or heard anyone before now complaining about the references to 9/11. The trailer came out months ago.. why is this coming up now? Did the TV news stations just find out about it?

Maybe we need a list of movies that came out since 9/11 that showed New York being destroyed.

I've got:

Day After Tomorrow
War of the Worlds
I am Legend
World Trade Center

 		Don't be naive. Fox (or any station) that produced a show did so for one reason only. To draw in high ratings. Nothing more, nothing less. While saying they were "honoring the victims" is very noble, the bottom line is the almighty dollar. They would not have done it if they didn't feel a solid profit could have been made from doing so.

 		Saying this movie is a reference to 9/11 is like saying Godzilla's (1998) creator knew about 9/11 three years in advance.

To me that sounds ridiculous.

The movie will bring some of the feelings of 9/11 back, just like Godzilla
did for the atomic bomb. In the preview I didn't see anything that made
me go "Oh, I'm going to see this because of 9/11" I mean, I'm not Rudi
Giuliani. The fact of the matter is, the terrorist's did a horrible thing, but
this is a Monster movie, not a terrorist movie.

Comparing this movie to 9/11 is like saying that the creator of 'Godzilla'
(1998) (which attacked New York city) had knowledge of the attack, 3
years in advance.

The movie "I Am Legend" included a scene where they bombed the
bridges so the islands wouldn't be connected. The army were on the
bridge so no one could pass. Ummm, that sounds more like the actions
of a terrorist group than a giant monster attacking the city.

JJ Abram's point was to 'Create an American Monster' something original,
and something like Godzilla.

Next time you decide to bring a guest on the air, make sure she knows
her facts about the opposite side.

It was one woman for Christ's sake! She's entitled to her opinion.
Lighten up! Unless somebody starts paying me I will be damned if I am going to answering for somebody else's work.
If Abrams et al have a problem with it I'm sure Cavuto would be more than happy to have them as guests.

Search in Google for 9/11; cloverfield and I can guarentee that you will get many, many results.

Edit: Did Google search, entire first page relate to this same newscast with a couple relating to the Director Revves discussing the film and how 911 was in "influence".
