[SPEC]Cloverfield TV Spot #8 Workprint? Found this on Youtube Also posted on IMDb:

I found this on Youtube....

It seems legit. Its obviously a workprint taken from the editing desk, but it says not final version. Also, the user, January182008, just joined today, and thats the only video from the user.
What do you think? No new footage from what I've seen, looks like a cut down New Years Eve trailer.

This does look like a rehash of footage from other spots. I don't think they'd make yet another 'Something has found us' spot. Every other TV spot has shown us something unique and new that the others did not or do not. Makes little sense to make an 8th that's just a reshuffle of the previous ones.
I suspect this is either bogus, or at best the workprint for TV spot #5.

How many TV spots are they gonna come up with? Less than 3 weeks to go, give it a rest, allready. I haven't seen half of the ones that are out alleady on TV yet.
How about another full-length trailer?

Seems like somebody edited together the "Some thing has found us" ad and the New Years Eve clip.

Thats totally fake. It looks like somebody just cut some clips together and added text to it.

Yeah it looks fake. Its nothing new, the Property of Paramount looks like it was done with windos movie maker and someoen jsut edited the trailers.

I concur, as the 'edit' plays the audio quality of the narration changes notably between where it was assembled from Spot #1 and the New Year's Eve footage.

So, obviously, this was legit, as it was shown on New Years. Glad I didn't hop on the "this is fake" bandwagon.
Sorry for the bump, but it's still cool to see the workprint before it's "official."

Did you miss the point that this is a splice of footage from the New Year's Eve trailer and TV ad #5? This isn't the workprint of the New Year's Eve trailer, it's made up in part from that footage . I don't think anyone ever suggested that the footage itself was fabricated in whole or part. It just appears someone just spliced footage and did a watermark overlay.
Until this shows up on TV as a new spot, you can pretty much count on it being bogus for reasons already defined in the thread.

Debunked Well, at least as TV spot #8 this is debunked as a result of this thread's information:
