Hopefully, my edits have clarified the fakery involved. Again, sorry for jumping the gun, but at least if someone else sees these posted as "news" elsewhere, this thread will serve as a reference. I know I've been following this all too closely since July, but for some reason I'd never seen these particular fantasies before.

When I look for fresh Cloverfield news on the web, I'm amazed at how many grossly ill-informed postings are still being made right up to this very minute. Within the last week or so, I've still seen blog postings stating that the title of the movie is still unknown. I know it takes a certain commitment to build the knowledge level that we've achieved around here, but some people with their easy-breezy, drive-by writeups of the movie aren't even trying. Now that the movie is being marketed to the general masses via the normal avenues, the legions of the clueless will continue to grow. I just hope they can enjoy the movie as much as us Cloverheads.
