Hey, I'm more than happy to keep the information flowing on the forums. I posted these names because players kept asking me for information.
I have more names to add - but for some reason SpaceBass and others on the committee don't want me to post info without prior group approval. Although, as usual, I've done all the work with setting up the speakers. This bar on publicly posting names of speakers is what has prevented me from posting anything earlier, sharing my great enthusiasm for the program we will have or even doing much promotion about the event. I don't quite understand the issue, but there it is.
Actually, I got in trouble with SpaceBass for posting what I did already. The emails about that are fairly entertaining to read. But no worries. This is just a minor behind the scenes issue. I'm not going anywhere and ARGFest is really going to be fantastic.
I'm committed to making this as good a conference as 'we've ever pulled together. Any difficulties I run into just make me all the more committed to making this the best ARGFest yet. And, of course, I'm not in this alone - The other planners include Gupfee, xnbomb, Giskard who are doing a great job as well.
So stay tuned and look for more names you know and recognize... as soon as the team approves it.
If I were anyone wondering about whether to attend ARGFest or not, I would say SIGN UP NOW. Good things are coming.

What, no Trent Reznor?
What a lineup...I would attend for any one of those people on the list*, let alone all of them...this is going to be ludicrously awesome
nice work, rose.
*oh yeah, and the rest of you are pretty ok too I guess..

Two and a half more speakers:
Elan Lee -confirmed
Lance Weiler -confirmed
Jan Libby - plans to attend, but is concerned if something might come up on a project she is working on.
I'm still currently suffling around panels but the topics I'm working withg are:
ARGs and Extended Media
Serious/Independent Games
Boston Legal - Events and the Law in Boston
PLAYER REQUESTED PANEL - Player to PuppetMaster - making the transition
ARG design 7 years after the Beast
Specific focus on design of one game
I'm putting this out here because I really want to people to register. We have the best lineup of speakers we have ever had. We haven't yet begun promoting this to the world outside of unfiction, but that will start soon. I don't want players to be closed out of space. I expect a large attendance.
More soon!!

here's uhm, a question.
Will the panels be back to back, or on top of eachother? Will we have to choose between panel 1 in room A or panel 2 in room B at 1:00 - that sort of thing.
I only ask because this seems more panel heavy than the one i attended in NYC, not that this is in any way shape or form meant to sound like i think it is a bad thing

This one has my interest piqued. That said, I already registered long before this list came out

I'd love to go. All I need is someone to pay my air fare...
... and my room...
... and pay my salary for the missed days...
... and keep my wife and son preoccupied for the duration of the event...
... and a pony!

Rose, I know that the creators of the ARG Whatisthisgame are very interested in being a part of the ARGFest (I am not sure in what capacity, but I am sure they would like to be a speaker). I am currently playing the ARG, but am not personally going to the ARGFest, however I know of a group of players from the ARG that are going to attend the ARGFest, and would love to see it featured. If you would like to contact them regarding speaking or any other capacity, please e-mail thestaffofthemagi at adminSPLATstaffofthemagi.com. If you know of a particular person they should contact, please PM me and I can pass on the message.

Rose, I'd like to second Palm on this one. Staff Of the Magi from WITG.com are wanting to be included very much.

{since i'm not playing the game myself i'm just going on the staement that you are currently playing, which would mean the game is currently being played}
wouldn't that defeat the purpose of THE CURTAIN if you get the PM team to not only announce publically who they are, but be on a panel with that arg attatched, before the game is complete. I mean, there have been some great examples of that working {Perplex being one} but still... a rarity at best - imnsho
