 		So I find this interesting - but because it's starting to tell a LOT about the movie close to it's release:

The camera's hunky owner Rob is in love with a beauty named Beth. He doesn't want to shoot a testimonial video at his brother's going-away party, so he passes the camera to a guy named Hud, who keeps shooting through the long night as New York is attacked by something gonzo, loud and very scary.

So this explains a few of the stills and footage we've seen in the ads. Her account is fractured though, as it's clear she forgets who is who.

On a more technical and less spoilerish note, we now have an explanation for the different cameras seen in those stills and the professional ones seen on shoots:
