Well that sucks.
But that's good too!
It's like when an album comes out by your favorite band, and you see it's only 9 tracks long. But that means there'll be no filler! This means every second of it is going to rock!
Like The Stage Names, for example!

I can go with an hour and a half. Most movies are way too long, especially considering how uncomfortable the average theater seat is. Movies over two hours usually overdo it. (Think the montage of endings that soaked the last 45 minutes of The Return of the King, yuck).
GRRR...montages...my mortal enemy
hour and a half=intensity through and through its better like that, i mean every damn horror movie is around that length and they all benefit from it

This man has the right idea. "Dark Side of the Moon" only contained nine tracks, and was a little over 40 minutes long but it's my favorite album of all time. I call for all killer, no filler. Quality over quantity. Remember that wayyy to many movies these days drag their feet for way too long and could benefit from stringent editing.

I was hoping for something more along the lines of a two hour movie, wanted to see alot of destruction scenes, but i guess eighty-four minutes is better than zero minutes

Well if the reports were true that this movie won't delve too deep into the background of the characters, or the Monster's origins (they're presently taking care of that with the Chuai videos), then I'd venture to say that there will be a lot of destruction within those 84 minutes. Anymore and I'd expect to see a Michael Bay production credit and a high speed car chase.

I'll simply close my eyes and wait for it to pass. The car chase in "The Hitcher" nearly made me want to never see another car in my life.

For the record, I don't actually believe we get to see more.

Or more commercials at the beginning. Bleh.
Oh, and I posted it once already, but 1 1/2 hours is a good length.
