None of this makes any sense... yet.

The fact that TIDOWave went to the Chuai site and found nothing indicates only two possibilities:

1) Chuai is underwater and intact.
2) Chuai never existed in the first place.

The monster destroying Chuai isn't plausible because, unless he swallowed the station whole, there has to be *some* debris. Heck, even a floating coffee cup counts as debris; you can't tell me the station doesn't have *anything* that floats.

But, given these two possibilities, the sonar picture can't be of the station because it doesn't make any sense to take a sonar photo of the station from a Tagruato point of view. Why would the WB send us a sonar picture of the station? And a blurry sonar picture doesn't mean it was destroyed; you cannot expect an intact platform to appear pristine on a sonar scope anyway (heck, even submarines appear surrounded by noise on sonar).

Therefore, based on that, I have to go with #2 above. Chuai is a cover story for something bigger, and doesn't exist as a platform in the first place. That's why it didn't appear on the quarterly report; you can't be drilling for oil from a platform that doesn't exist. It also serves as a means to hide funds; you can mount millions upon millions of funds in to the creation of the station (materials, assembly, payroll, etc...) in order to fund whatever you wanted.

Tagruato sending up the satellite implies that they saw this coming; what other reason would there be to launch a satellite in the first place?

I think the sonar picture is of whatever came from outer space, and Tagruato knew about it well before this press release. Chuai only existed on paper so that they can use the money to fund this new venture: search and recovery of extraterrestrial items.

And now Tagruato has a problem: somebody went out there, saw Chuai didn't exist, and came back to report it. What's the best solution to that? Blame Chuai's disappearance on that same group and label them "eco-terrorists".

I also think that MGP probably landed with whatever that was, and simply isn't awake yet.

I think it's clear the object fell from space last month, if not earlier, and Tag is just getting around to posting about it now.

Teddy said he was at Chuai. And they FOUND something. clearly the object that fell from space.

The important question is where the fuck did Chuai go? Has it been underwater the whole time? What is on that sonar image?

Is it just me, or is this the first time Tag has acknowledged the possiblity of TidoWAVE being an IG site by talking about eco-terrorists? Not that I thought it wasn't, but before this I don't remember any links between TidoWAVE and the rest of the ARE. Used to be lots of speculation on if they were legit or not. Anybody fill me in?

kuh-RAZY speculation time:

What if... the oil frieghter that crashed in New York is Chuai? Hear me out, it would answer the question of no debris... they're sailing away with MGP! After the object fell from space, the ship was dispatched to pick it up, was carrying him, he started to wake up so they ditched him in the ocean and high-tailed it for land... but it followed them!

I think we have too much evidence that Chuai Station did in fact exist. Consider:

1) The Whistle Blower's first memo said "Chuai Station holds a dark secret", and the Japanese on the memo on which it was written referenced Chuai. How does a non-existent station hold anything, much less a dark secret?

2) The second Whistle Blower communique indicated that there was no oil at Chuai, and that "they must have known before they built". Sure sounds like something was built to me.

3) Teddy states in his tape that they are "on their station". True, he could have been talking about one of the other 13, but come on! How likely is that?

The puzzlement over the line mentioning no debris in the Tidowave might be misdirected. They may merely have been trying to emphasize that the thing was totally gone, not just damaged. When someone's house is destroyed by a tornado, they might say "My house is gone", but in reality there is some debris and at least a foundation or its remnants. In this case, I think they're just trying to be clear that the whole thing is gone, not just wrecked.

Does anyone remember the Blob remake. It was an experiment done on a satellite in space and it fell back to earth. What if this is one of TIGs experiments comming home to roost. Remember, Teddy said they found something or made something....hmmmm. It might be a terristerial creature that has been mutated under conditions in space....just my thoughts...
