my theory

my 2 cents:

1. Monster falls from space in a dormant state. space is cold btw.

2. tag sees "rogue fragment" on satellite readouts, tracks it to the atlantic ocean realizing its something more.

3. investigates, discovers its something alive, builds chuai station UNDERWATER near its resting place to research under the guise of oil drilling.

4. tido can't find the station cuz its underwater.

5. sonar image is of the "monster".

6. monster wakes up and beats the crap out of chuai station.

7. eventually it follows a fleeing tanker to the east coast, and NYC.

8. more crap beating ensues.

i think the attack on NYC will happen IG before the movie is released, and the movie will be like the governments "public explantion" or w/e

you're about to hear an ear full for your 'underwater station' theory...

OT but does anyone else find the clipped English quotes in all the "news" hilarious?

Quote:
"In my 11 years for Tagruato, I see us grow in power, and also in caring. Such teamwork effort is huge stride."

This is funny too:

Quote:
Although with the success of Hatsui and ample funds dedicated to development and galactic research, it is certain to be big.

Quote:
Bold Futura recently announced that one billion Yen will be allocated towards space research.

1 billion yen??? That isn't even 10 million dollars...it wouldn't pay for a toilet on the space shuttle.

In its first month orbiting Earth, the satellite "Hatsui" has been at peak performance—busily collecting data and securing samples.

Securing samples??? In orbit??? Of what????
That could be a significant statement.

So, there was an 'altercation' at Chuai station, but what altercation? The 'event' didnt happen as supposed to and when 'Randy' and the others got to the co-ordinates, there was nothing there. So, if it wasnt Randy and TIDO, what was the 'altercation' caused by?

It's code for "We got attacked by a huge monster"

That bit reminded me of Project Scoop from The Andromeda Strain.

In The Andromeda Strain, scientific evidence has begun to suggest that it's not only possible but quite likely that new and strange organisms await us in space. The American military has, characteristically, co-opted this information--and the related technology--for its own ends, developing two secret, and originally unrelated, programs. One, Project Scoop, was set up to carefully harvest new and deadly pathogens from space for future use in the Cold War. The other, Project Wildfire, was charged with figuring out how to deal with alien organisms should they happen to make it to Earth.

Gawd when did you figure that out?! It took me the whole day and it was stumping me!!! Is it a codex or something?? Ah well, more important stuff here.

I've been hearing that the "Sattalite Peice" is MPG's arrival plane. Wrong.

MGP is HUGE and if something was carrying him from space, it would be waayy bigger, even if he grew rapidly on Earth. It wouldn't be "a fragment", It should be an asteroid!!! Also, other countries would've noticed this. How is it that Japan knows that it fell in the Atlantic Ocean by now but the US or UK couldn't track it, a HUGE asteroid??(assuming it was MGP's ship). The sattelite peice IS most likely a cover-up, but it can't be MGP. Maybe it's a "Sample" (Highly unlikely: Surviving the re-entry and the impact on the water??? Nah, not a sample) or a coverup for them using the sattelite to look closely at something either in space or underwater. Boom.

As for Chuai, it might be obvious. A SEA BED DOCKING HUGE SUBMARINE. (sorry for the bold and capital, just wanted it to be made clearly) Billions of dollars and Trillions in yen would be put into "investigating" and "construction". Yes, something was built, but a MOVABLE STATION is also likely (This is JJ we're talking about).

There. My 3 cents.

F(*& me senseless. I leave for my p/t job, am gone for only 4 hours and I come back to find two new updates from Tag and Dennis' YouTube account getting pwned. I need to set up a system with my cell to alert me to any changes on these sites! Dammit, LaNcEleCtriKuTion, you beat me to this theory!!! Well, I'm going to say it anyway, if only to support you...

I like a lot of the theories put out there in this thread. Remember that Bold Futura has been integral in deep sea exploration:
Quote:
Tagruato announces plans for "undersea construction sites"
Next time you drive by a large construction site demolishing a building or putting up new infrastructure, imagine it underwater.

Such is the latest directive of the Tagruato corporation. Company spokeswoman Suzume Soga announced this week that Tagruato has long been developing vehicles and machinery that will operate at the same capacity as the bulldozers and cranes you pass on the freeway each day, but also function at the ocean's greatest depths. COO Danno Jo, right hand man and cousin of CEO Ganu Yoshida, has been overseeing the revolutionary project.

"There are great reservoirs under the ocean floor that no one can get to due to obstruction by physical elements," explained Jo at the December 18th press conference. "With these new technologies in place, Tagruato will destroy any barrier."

Another benefit of these new technologies is the ability to actually construct drilling stations from the ground up. In the past, the process has been to build the various parts of the station in Tagruato's mainland factories, ship them across the oceans on aircraft carriers, and then reassemble them underwater. The process can be costly and time consuming.

"We can now skip that step," said Danno. "In a perfect world, we'll never have to work from the surface again."
and this:
Quote:
Our engineering technology is the most superior of its kind. A machine made with Bold Futura parts works where others fall to pieces. A vehicle made with Bold Futura equipment will travel where others cannot reach. Our unique ability to function in areas of severe temperature or pressure can have desirable implications for our clients. In the past, Bold Futura has partnered with military organizations, space exploration institutions, and arms manufacturers.
Perhaps Chuai station was more innovative - being able to operate both above and under water - a submersible station, if you will. And, it just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when whatever fell from space hit "somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean".
Anyway, as Caerwiden pointed out, Chuai was spelled incorrectly on the Tag site. That's pretty sloppy of them, and they must really be scrambling at damage control for some reason. We have to keep an eye out for other instances of their "sloppiness", since it's only going to get worse before it gets better.

heh, I have a lot. The floating sea floor sub is like the first outta 10,298 ideas/theories. The craziest I ever thought of was it being my aunt-in-law... Wink Smile

I liked that book. I wonder who the Odd Man is in this context? Smile

Well you know what they say about great minds. I figured since Tag has so much ¥¥¥, they would probably funnel it into at least ONE of their stations, so why not their newest? Put a bunch of YMR scientists there, use their newest Bold Futura "toys" and be able to raise and lower the "drilling platform" when the need arises (away from "prying eyes", or other satellites). That would be pretty cool. Too bad it's probably toast - like Teddy...

Hey, I wonder if the WB was on the station? If so, hope he escaped, or else we may not get any more updates from him.

Okay, I need to go to bed. I'm sure there will be a thousand more updates overnight.....hope work is slow....

I wouldn't be surprised if Bold Futura came up with something very similar...they ARE innovators in underwater excavating and YMR is heavily into underwater research. Still not sure how ParaFun plays into this, but there's got to be a big connection with them, too. I'd still like to know what they recalled. Never got an answer back from any of my emails asking for details....
