It's been called hundreds, and hundreds, and hundreds of times.

Not only that, but it's been disproven. There's a quote from Matt Reeves in one of the interviews. We will see the monter, in full.

I thought the director says you see it. That means the director is wrong. Who's more believable?

This is a trout, but where on earth does one begin to list all the bloody times people have said we'll never see the monster?

The Variety article I think it was speaks of having to make a CGI that Rob sees. We have been told we will see the monster in amazing shots, by the people who are making the movie. It may be that we never get a good head to toe shot, but if I see 90% of MGP - even 20% at a time - that's good enough for me. Not having it ever be seen without overfilling the frame would help give the impression of it's immense size.

I have a feeling the bridge scene will be when we get our best look at it, as I can't help but feel that it will end up lumbering past, demolishing the bridge in the process. That'd be pretty cool. And of course, there's the possibilities of the mysterious subway scene. I've always wondered if the CGI part with Rob that you referenced has to do with the still frame we have of him and Lily holding shut the door.

Not likely, but I would probably prefer not seeing MGP. An excited imagination is always more realistic than even the best CGI.

Look at the movie "Signs", the aliens were pretty scary until you saw them "in the flesh" at the end of the movie.

Makes me think of the original Hitcher with Rudger Hauer and then its crappy remake with Sean Bean. There were scenes that were left to the imagination in the first movie that were played out graphically in the remake.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Big Rig hammock anyone? Despite the fact it was not shown in the first movie, that scene was disturbing. In the second movie, with everything playing out in full view, it came off like a bad "Final Destination" wanna-be

But than, there was the Blair Witch Project... nobody wants that again. Seeing crappy Disney Cartoon witches mixing green cauldrons would've been better than the steaming pile of crap that we saw when they ended up in the concrete basement of some hut.
