I can fully understand and support you...
I'd be glad to say "dito, I also won't visit anything related to Cloverfield until I'll see the movie" (in Germany it's two weeks after premiere), but I've to actualize German wikipedia text about Cloverfield, so I'm very affraid, I get the whole spoilings after January the 18th...

Very brutal dilemma...

Uk based as well Matt. Think I will have to watch it online once its released in the US and then take a trip to the flix when its (eventually) released over here.

Since the days of copy DVDs and filming in cinemas and so on, release dates have been synchronized, so maybe they have a new twist on the ARE to keep us European types even more stoked until we can see it

If you guys really cant contain yourselves, im sure with some decent sleuthing across the internet you can find a ripped copy of the movie on one of those "sites" either before, or immediately following its release. Shocked
