[TROUT]LAist Interview: Matt Reeves, Director
1/9/08-Slusho,Tagruato,Viral campaign,inspiration...

http://laist.com/2008/01/09/laist_interview_88.php

Few things that stood out at me:

We all know hes talking about Unfiction board, glad to be apart of the team! haha:
Quote:
When I look at the message boards to see what's going on, and there will be somebody who has purported to have seen the movie and they'll give details—very specific details—that have nothing to do with the film. I think, "People are amazing!" It's fascinating and it's just something I've never really been a part of prior to this. I mean, we had online fans during Felicity, but it was very different.

So there are few times where the camera changes hands:
Quote:
One actor in particular is charged with filming most of the evening. He's the one who is documenting the going away party for one of the main characters. We introduce him early on and he does most of the filming in the movie, although the camera does switch hands at different points.

So theyve thought about this idea also:
Quote:
One of the things that we were all thinking about was the idea that if you could find all these other peoples' video phones or video cameras, then you'd find another movie. All these viral things are like different prisms looking at the same story

Edited title to reflect trout, moving to Reference / Press / Questions. - E

This sounds more like IMDB, 1-18-08News, etc. than us, or at least it happens there more often Smile

I posted this in this section because i notice hardly no one goes to read the PRESS section of the board, his post in the press of this article only has 20 views, and my same post in this section already has over 100 views..More people view this section of the board and more people can be informed about this article, but i know the mods sacrifice that to keep the board more organized instead.
