 		This thread just needs to die now. Its mostly spam at this point and there are some smaller threads getting started for the important things that we have pulled from these videos. Lets try to concentrate on those and get what we can out of them or debunk them and move on.

There has actually been some productive info found and worked out in this thread, more earlier than later. The signal to noise ratio isn't too good, and I've read in at least a cursory fashion every single page. I could go into great depth about not making or taking things personally, that one exchange of "I think X"/"I disagree for X reason only" is enough...
But it all sums up with this:

starshiptrooper, please leave Mr. Herbert's fine work out of this. I really love my Dune universe, please don't try to make it part of MGP's origin. Sandworms don't like beach holidays anyway.

It would seem the rate of fresh news videos has stopped or subsided greatly. It was a very interesting ride. We did actually get to see Chuai, we know MGP gets his start there, and we know there's a Tag tanker involved. We know the military has to be aware of something being up. I know it's not chicks exploding, but hey - it's what we've got.

AND THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY IT IS MOSTLY SPAM AT THIS POINT. People like you, constantly coming on here and saying "Shut this down, it's too long, I don't like reading, everyone's being an idiot", when only a few are screwing around with bad theories and some of us are trying to cover some ground not covered by the four other specialist threads. As I said in another thread - just because people are floating theories doesn't mean it should be locked.

Here's something I want to ask - I only just realised, in the translation my friend just gave me of the precursor to the the Korean video, it says 27th of December, Midnight Brief News - as if the news is being told on December 27th. Why is this one being broadcast on Dec 27th, and the rest not for another week and a half?

i think the American video summed it up best, "It went down days ago and only now are we beginning to learn details"

but i think the splash screen on the korean one was meant to say that the video happened on that date, not on the same date as the broadcast

Well, I think if you look at each video it provides us with different details. The German one gives us the impression that science says what happened at Chuai is at least partially not possible; the French one gives us a look at how families are affected, and of Tag not acting on that front, just for example. I think each video fills in a bit more detail to the backstory. I would be highly surprised if some great revelation (i.e. new web site or something) were to come from these.

EDIT: Couldn't there be some kind of code embedded somehow, just a thought.

I believe there are tools that can be utilized to check these types of things out, the first few pages of the trailhead thread talks about somethings that were done early on to new discoveries. This is my first ARG so I would have to rely on one of the veterans to work some magic here.

This was my initial thought when I saw them (I watched the Spanish one first, since I speak some Spanish). Oh yeah, the other thought was "freakin' awesome!" Just throwin' out an idea for anyone who wants to pursue the videos for hints or whatever, now that this thread has died down a bit.

Damn chill out, Just trying to get people into the threads on the main topics from this so they don't get lost so fast in here and people can sort through this a little easier, rather than someone come in and go, "I'm not reading all that" and we get multiple threads on things discussed in here. I for one did not say I'm too lazy to read this, I've read every page of this thread. We need threads on the main topics from here so we can get them sorted out or debunk them and move on.

I've looked over the videos again and again... The one thing that really sticks out in my mind is the Spanish video.

Sometimes I wish I had intro music. Earthquakes, even better. The earthquake thing is one of the many details I think we get to know that the movie going public may not know when the film is released. I really think that is the whole purpose of these videos, as you said, a climax.

EDIT: Of course, this doesn't mean we won't see another update or four in the ARE.
