Apparently, what we have here is a failure to communicate.


I live in Fairfield county. I watch news all the time. It rarely looks this bad. Even from the cable only local news channel that does only traffic, weather and such. The time in the newscast is 11:15.
Why would they have the reporter go stand outside in the dark to show a canned interview done earlier? She would have been at the news desk next to the anchors. Even if they didn't show the anchors at the very least she would be at a desk.

I can't speak for US news, but they're doing this on UK news all the time.

There are ways to wipe tags if you have the right software. You don't have to crop.

But the fly-in is also seemingly higher resolution in the American video. You'd have to also scale the French video up and it would look like shite.

 		This is the best I can do translating the Spanish version. It's not perfect, but it'll have to do I guess. Her Spanish accent is way too thick for me, and they're using some big words that I didn't think are that common in a regular newscast.

Experts are analyzing this videos and trying to determine the cause of the tragedy. Some sources suggest that the platform was attacked. Tagruato, the company that mans the platform, was obliged to quickly make declarations once the videos emerged.

The spokesman states that it is known that the environmental activist group TIDOWave was in the area at the time of the incident. He stated that the group has previously infitrated Tagruato operations, causing damage internally. These images, taken with a handheld camera, confirm this possibility.

Whatever the cause may be, the violence of the event was recorded at the seismic recorder in Rivedeo (?), and researchers at the location have expressed doubt as to whether this could have been caused by a man-made explosion.

The speed, size and drama of this incident are clear in this last, terrifying image taken by members of the group escaping.

These are incredible scenes. We have no information as to the whereabouts of these people nor of the camera that recorded these images. We only hope that they have survived somehow.


One thing of note (bear with me: I haven't read through 56 pages in 24 hours)... They point out that TIDOWave's infiltration is supported based on the 2nd video which shows a guy in a mask. But in the third video, that same guy is sitting in the back of the boat. He's not TIDOWave; he's a Tagruato agent.

And I have to admit that, although I'm one of the usual skeptics here, I refuse to believe this isn't IG. I mean, do you think just anyone can make videos like that?

I'll tell ya, I watch American news all the time, and this is a common practice. It's even used often in Canadian news, and I'd actually be skeptical if she *wasn't* standing outside.

 		I noticed on google earth that where they show Chuai station is right where a group of Portugal islands are located. This is also a suggested spot where Atlantis might be (Azores). Maybe the Atlantians are tired of us polluting their land?

 		Christ on a pony it's annoying how every time something new comes out there are these handfuls of people that hang onto and harp on the most inane shit possible about it.

This "the video is fake" is the latest in a long line of it. First it was 'lion" and not "alive, and the last was the stupid black thing in the water. Sorry but six months of it has taken it's toll.

I fully expect on the 18th when the movie comes out there will still be a few people saying it's not the actual movie.

"The video is fake" Duh. Who do you expect will be reporting on a made up viral marketed underground newscast, friggin Anderson Cooper?

Why would they have the reporter go stand outside in the dark to show a canned interview done earlier? She would have been at the news desk next to the anchors. Even if they didn't show the anchors at the very least she would be at a desk.


Video done by someone who hasn't been to Fairfield, but HAS seen a local NJ news station report! Looks like some of those we have here! One of the many reasons why I don't watch the news.

Maybe MGP (and his associated earthquakes) are what sunk Atlantis in the first place.

The Spanish announcer mentions "Ribadeo" as the seismic institute that got the reading.

I'm guessing she means Ribadeo, Spain, which is on the northern coast of Spain, some FOUR THOUSAND MILES from Chuai. Considering the look of the readings, that's one hell of a tremor.

Seismic events travel through solid rock, and are recorded through sensors placed in the ground. Earthquakes, or at least vibrations that can be recorded by such equipment, do not travel through water. A surface platform getting destroyed would not be that apparent from such a distance away.

My guess: Tagruato's big honkin' drill bit poked MGP, and the quake is perhaps him busting through the ocean floor?

Atlantis was a mythical ancient island, whose existence and location have never been confirmed. The first mentions we have are from the classical Greek philosopher Plato, who said it was engulfed by the ocean as the result of an earthquake 9,000 years before his own time. Plato claimed it was somewhere west of the Pillars of Hercules (also known as the Strait of Gibraltar). Yes, they do it but the person is usually at the spot where the news happened, even if the events have long passed. They just don't send people out to stand in some random spot in the dark.

There are actual 2 very good shots of the fly in on the graphic on the French video. If you composite them then is no need to crop any graphics. The only thing that looks better in the American is the text which is clearly bad till almost the last second when it cleans up considerably as if retouched.

Listen it may be IG but if it is PM definitely screwed the pooch on that one as whoever they assigned to do the "American" one clearly wasn't up to the job. The other newscasts look authentic, to me this doesn't.
Hell just compare it to the fake newscasts of the widget and trailer which are extremely basic.
