I'm not so sure that this election thing is still happening. After all, if the Two of Diamonds is right, then our opinions of what's happening in Silverladder aren't exactly important here anyway.

(cross-post)

Everything seems to have reverted to what it was before this afternoon. The whole "Two of Diamonds was right" page that replaced everything on silverladder.com has been replaced with what was there before.

Hopefully, I don't sound like a Flaming Nutter, but everything changed for a while there and I do have a copy the mp3 that was linked to.

P.S. Strange how I feel I was somehow made to be an uninformed piece in an artistic exhibition. Bravo, Aces!

Viewer is to Art as Listener is to Speaker, imo. Both parties, creator and receiver, are important.

I'm kind of pushing for Lory too. I think some structure is good, to keep things going in a direction. To keep moving _forward_, where I see someone like Dodo being a little more stagnant...

I'm also hopeful that if Lory was chosen, s/he'd lighten up some after meeting us and would give us a little more control on what's going on.

I like Mouse, too. I'm just a little reluctant to vote for the obvious choice. But I have a feeling it's an Occam's Razor type thing.

I like the idea of 'new' from Lory.

I have enough faith in the passengers to realize we can each find a bit of ourselves in each of the candidates...each of the passengers...each card in the deck...we are each everywhere Very Happy

Being an actual part of the deck never crossed my mind(though I've been known to miss things before. I thought the whole message was the recipricol nature of passanger and deck the ability of each to teach and learn from each other not the right of one to suddenly become the other. Mouse says the role of the deck is to be guide and mentor. A proper guide and mentor does not suddenly concede his role or voice in decision making rather acknowledges what a student says, respects it, considers it, challenges the student to consider things he might have missed and shares knowledge and experience. even with mouse at the end of the day decisions rest with the aces and with the deck, but mouse among all the candidates acknoledges our ability to influence the journey's direction

Mouse does suggest that Passengers should be able to become cards. But I haven't really even thought about that factor much. If it happens, nifty, if not.. whatever, never would've expected it to be possible anyway. I don't really think he/she would be able to make it happen, so I'm definitely not equating that into my decision.

What is the address we're supposed to send our votes to?

The link below explains how, where, and a specific format for the votes to be submitted.

I know...but that link doesn't seem to provide an email address. At least, I can't find one.

Like Dom said, seems like I'm leaning towards finding the most balanced candidate. And that would be Mouse, for me.

I'd love to go for Dodo, but I don't want to see every other card acting like a buncha stoners, if you know what I mean.

Duck is too Korp. It was pretty obvious Loli was going for the Duck xD I'd love to see what would happen if Duck got chosen

Lory seems like the choice for everyone who liked the basic premise of the journey. But to me, it'd be like throwing away all the progress we've made so far.

Mouse sounds an awful lot like Jonah to me xD He's a balanced candidate, though nad that's why I'm going for him.

LOL at the TMNT comparison xD That's some good research.

EDIT: The voting address is to be revealed after we get the answers to the questions we sent to the candidates. So, we'll be able to cast our vote in about 4 hours, and the deadline for the questions is in 2 hours (I've set my pc's clock to CST xD).

Thanks for the response. =)

I'm leaning toward Duck myself, but I'm not closed to anyone at the moment.

I think what bothers me the most about duck is that what I saw on the despoiler wiki where it appeared somebody had taken a black magic marker and obscured everything on Duck's record. odd, and I agree with salsa. the way he spoke just eerily reminded me of a maniacal, slightly evil CEO, balancing the souls of his company on his mocha-latte frothe *shivers* >_<
it's probably wrong to vote for a candidate based on their record, but I really think this should be taken into consideration. I was going to vote for mouse due to his strong stance on the travelers being a intregal part of the journey, something I've long myself believed. then, I looked at his record on Despoiler( see? I"m being a active Plugger for the wiki!!! I expect all checks to be in the mail by the end of the week Wink ) and YIKES!

as of right now, I'm leaning towards lory.

I'd like to make a point here, towards the duck deal. I sent all four candidates the same question. Which is the one you can see in Mouse's page: "if you where to re design silverladder.com, how would it look like and what underlying message would it have?". If you've read all the candidates' questions, you'll notice lory, dodo and mouse listed the questions with our internet handles right besides them. Duck's questions have made up names besides them... you'll notice 'cause the third question is an obvious rip off of my question, though with a different name... I'm so gonna kick that duck's ass when he goes all korp on us.

There is an e-mail address at the top of the page: 4dvoteSPLATsilverladder.com

I would be interested to know what links to this page, though, as I seem to have missed it.
