Her eating the "stuff" out of spite makes sense if it had been a normal chocolate bar, some normal food in normal packaging, a can of beer, etc - those are the things you may say "don't eat/drink this" because it belongs to you.
When it's on some unknown substance in foil, it doesn't mean "don't eat this because I will want to eat it later", it means "don't eat this because it could be dangerous".

Hell, if I received some weird looking shit in the post and it had a note saying "it's ok to eat this", I'd still be very doubtful and wary and probably wouldn't eat it. If I got a note saying "don't eat it", then I'd be keeping that stuff well away from me.

If anyone is stupid enough to eat something in suspicious packaging with a warning note, then I will sign a petition to have those people eliminated from the gene pool - I have yet to meet someone that stupid and I really hope they don't exist outside of this film.
