 		hehe, maybe when they process it into slusho, it just makes u feel great, since its not straight stuff, but since jaime ate a little bit straight up, maybe it was an aphrodisiac, made her wanna breeed, OR even made her bigger in some places? maybe thats why she posts what she does on her picture on the 1-18-08 website. then she tells marlena all about how it enhanced her, and marlena is like, damn if one bit does that, what does a whole pouch do? and there goes her infection

le sigh. I sometimes think this forum is too skeptical.

On the topic of Marlena being the on who explodes/gets f'ed up behind the white screen:
The trailers put together clips such as:
a. No bite on Marlena (running and hiding etc)
b. Marlena with bite mark bleeding (chronologically this means it happens later that night)
c. When they get to the hospital/first aid station you see Marlena getting grabbed by folks and I believe Rob/Hawk says "Where are you taking her?"
d. You see outlines of same hazmat suited folks holding a woman with a hair cut identical to Marlena as she blows up or something. Meanwhile some one yells "We have a biter!"

I'm gonna ask folks use occams razor here and say we lose Marlena to a bite from something in the movie.

On the topic of eating seabed nectar:
The original restaurant review that mentions Sea Bed nectar and says the stuff is the latest craze in Japan and is awesome. Lots of people eat it and are fine and have been eating it for a while.

Open to [SPEC] is did Jamie freeze it or not? Regardless, No one who eats it is going to be a monster or turn into a monster. Otherwise all of Japan would be a monster at this point.


Finally, Jamie is gotta be the dumbest girl I have ever seen and I hope video #9 comes in soon. So, she can to explain to Teddy why the NY Giants starting defensive line, a goat, and two midgets are in her bed.

There is plenty of evidence which pushes one to believe that it is Marlena who explodes in that clip. There certainly isn't any shots, clips, etc directly showing her explode. But the evidence put forth certainly leads you to deduce that is what happens. What is sorely lacking is evidence to make me believe it is NOT Marlena.

Well, I'm going to agree that Marlena will try the contents of the package as well. But I think that the harmful affects don't occur until mixed with the product Slusho. I'm sure these positive effects turn for the worse when mixed with the drink. My reasoning? We see Marlena drinking a red slush drink at the party, only looking worse and worse as time goes on. Maybe she takes some of the package contents before the party as a wake up (crack head). Of course non of this is conclusive, but I feel good about it...

 		Considering how Jamie tossed aside the packet after she opened it, and how long it sat unfrozen by her bed, I'd say the kaitei no mitsu isn't in the 'near frozen state' intended. I think it's also fair to conclude that it's effects do not diminish once it warms up, and may in fact increase. If they don't increase, her sample there is a VERY potent sample, like the relative potency of pure mint oil to what we actually eat.

i totally agree, unless marlena goes " i knew i shouldn't of ate that shit jamie had left on her floor for a month and had that note attached to it written by her eco-terrorist spy boy friend, that said DO NOT EAT and FREEZE IMMEDIATELY in giant red letters. the same stuff my friend jamie ate and ended her life prematurely" all right before she explodes. then i think everyone will get it.

Not so much an explosion as a large amount of abdominal distension accompanied by a gross splattering sound (hard to describe.) Happens during that scene and immediately before the scene changes in the first couple (I'm not sure of the exact ones) trailers.
