i could see this movie being part of the J.J. unverse. i think if you look hard enough, i'm sure the same could be said about his other works. then again if you look at it that way im sure alot of movies done by the same director/producer, alot of similarities can be found in their works.

Slusho was first seen in Alias (which JJ did something for, produced or something). So, while he might not have had Cloverfield planned when Slusho was introduced on Alias, it still a kinda tie-in to his previous work. I'm sure there are numerous "inside jokes" within the ARG.

I'm personally not a Lost fan, but I remember someone on 1-18-08news.com saying they felt for sure that the monster's roar was very VERY similar to another monster in the Lost series.
