[OOG]+[IG feeling] We'll miss you.
The day after 01.18.08

People, do you have the same feeling like me?

I think about the day after

Our favourite characters will go away... What does it mean for us: nevermore MySpace updates, nevermore new Jamie's videos, abrupt ending of comic fiction with HUD... Perhaps some news from Tagruato or TIDO. But our central figures won't be here anymore. It makes me a little bit depressed.

I could imagine it now -

CLOVERFIELD 2: MR. GRUMPYPANTS VS. CTHULHU.

In glorious Technicolour.

After the film is fully out I don't think the storm here is over. There'll be spoilers to put in check for those folks living where the film isn't released yet, there'll be people that will retrospectively be interested in the viral campaign and come here to learn about it - and start a whole new wave of speculations for the future of a possible franchise...
There'll be trolls to make fun of all the past wild speculations that will have proven to be totally wrong.
There'll be fans that just want to discuss the film here down to the last detail, with arguments over every slip-up and glitch, who was the best actor, why the film sucks or rocks...

And even more potentially daunting...
There could be more of a proper ARG to tell us what the viral campaign and film do not.

When there's only a new thread every day or two, when a thread doesn't run out to 9 pages in under 30 minutes - then we'll know the party is over.

I hope it won't come soon...

But yes, in that case we'll look for new party.
I'm glad, I can do it easily, changing the boards in Unfiction Smile

Btw, I sweared not to ARG while of Cloverfield, but since some time I'm in new "Lost experience". Isn't exactly the same (perhaps it isn't ARG, but point&click experience), but it seems to be penned by the same Puppet masters.

And they are cool.

If the spoilers that I read are true then

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The movie takes place in May

So, does that mean

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The ARG will continue until May ?

I honestly believe if JJ Abrams wants to truly honor UF he would name the sequel Electric Bugaloo.

oh man. There is always a bit of a let down after an ending. Often after a game ends we can wrangle some sort of a chat with the creators of the game. Maybe we can manage that with the creators of this promotion as well.

But, let's not worry about the ending while we are still at the beginning...or at least the middle...Most of us aren't going anywhere and we will still be here when this ends. So let's have some fun now. We've certainly earned it.
