Anyways...I can hit shift fast many times with no problem.
Is it harder with a newer key board?

Nevermind then, when I hit Shift five times fast it asks me if I'd like to turn on "StickyKeys".

hmm. I just did it again and now it asked me that.
Maybe my key board is just stupid.
