Limited...I do feel that it may be my fault that the device is

At one point in Morcar's messages, he says "...sorry sir, nein...no." which seems to be said to Morcar by another party who also mentions the Korporation.

Perhaps this is where The Box and therefor Morcar is being held?

Morcar's Condition
Another Email

Edwin is still trying to help Morcar. Here's what he sent me:

Ok. Finally some results. I've stabilized Morcar's breathing and have
been gradually reducing the settings of the machine. I don't want to make
any sudden changes so I'm keeping the process very gradual.

His body is showing very subtle muscle movements...I'm hoping that means
he's reacting to outside stimulus...I just can't tell at this point.

The Korp has been silent since I've arrived. I did have a knock on the
door about 10 minutes ago (broke my concentration and induced a bit of
panic...which is why I'm taking a moment to update you all). It turned
out to be nothing...maybe I'm just hearing things.

Of course...this brings to mind some oddities...

Don't hotels clean rooms daily? Where have they been?
If someone else is paying the bill, they know he's here. Why don't they
just come grab him.

Other things have popped up but I'm noticing a disturbing pattern here.
