Maybe the DSI is some kind of organism that is being bred by tagruato in a very controlled environment and the TIDOwave people have sabotaged one of the "breeding stations", releasing some into the ocean, where it grew to it's full potential (being a huge angry monster)...

What I'm saying is that the DSI as it's been known for many years is just the early stage of the organism, manipulated/killed/whatever to prevent further development...

Tagruato states in one of the newscasts that TIDOwave has, in fact, already caused damage in the past, thus TIDO causing MGP to be "born".

Well i was wondering if this thread would pop up. So my theory is that MGP is a hybrid of animals caused from various toxins dumped from tagruato. The whale subject first popped to me in the slusho happy talk about the cherry whale falvor,and then again in the latest happy talk. the squid or octopus if the other animal i could see in this fusion. I know i am going to sound dumb or get bashed for this theory,but i don't care it's mine..lol.. I see a giant whale fused with a squid and that is why it's so damn mammoth. Also i think tag is not an oil company at all , and none of the "stations" are oil rigs. i believe they are really labs to which alot of crazy shit goes down ,and teddy is a prisoner of there's. now my theory is not too far fetched and if it's right i'm so gonna throw this thread in everyone's faces...lol

The Chuai station was established to exploit a deep-sea region inhabited by extremophiles (i.e. hardy little buggers) that lived in the deep trenches. They found "deep sea nectar", which is otherwise known as MONSTER POOP. The monster who produces this poop, and also creates a whole ecosystem around it, turned out to be bigger and more bad-tempered than the Tag engineers anticipated.

After a year of putting up with drilling and bombardment the ocean floor with sonar, this very large extremophile rose from the depths to tell them to knock it off. This it did with a distinct lack of subtlety. Then it followed the sound or sonar of a passing tanker, which it followed to the Big Apple.

It found the Big Apple, and its residents, to be very tasty. It probably thinks of them as "above sea nectar".

Satellite parts? Coincidental.

And Slusho? SLUSHO IS... MONSTER POOP!

Other predictions:

+ because of survival in a deep-sea trench, the monster probably burrows and has access to either volcanic vents or some sort of geothermal heat. This gives it an intimate relationship with natural gasses and heat, which above water produce FIRE and lots of it.

+ the monster is norished by fire

+ the monster is able to create fire in various ways, including having the little lifeforms that live on it produce sources of fire

+ because of its ability to survive in incredibly harsh conditions, it is really, really hard to kill

+ because it has to move a huge mass through water, above water it can move surprizingly fast and with unbelievable power

+ the big thing is amphipious (for some reason) and is closer to a frog or a turtle than a reptile

+ the thing has two arms and two legs; its armspan is very wide, the same as its overall length. It is incredibly hunched over, and walks primarily like an animal on all 4s, but can rear up and use its arms to grab things (like helicopters)

+ The thing has a huge, triangular face with swivel eyes and a huge gaping mouth with big fangs that would be effective in eating whales

+ It does rub on buildings and knock off smaller creatures (i.e. I think that rumor is credible)

+ Marlena explodes, but literally, like in a big fireball

+ The monster does something to Manhattan, like cover it in monster poop, that leaves it uninhabitable at the end of the movie.

+ Well ...even more uninhabitable than it is now.

I think we are only beginning to scratch the surface with Tag and TIDO wave. I believe this movie is just a phase shift from the viral, I believe JJ plans to use Tag and maybe TIDO in something else. I think once MGP goes crazy on NYC people will begin to understand what happened at Chuai and there will be a massive Tag investigation. 1-18-08 is just going to bring about the end of Jamie and Teddy and the myspace pages.

The thing I've been saying the longest and more is a hope than a theory is that Hud just drops the camera and runs away and we get TJ Miller in a sequel as Hud leading the way.

I think MGP is gonna have a hard turtle like shell and but atthe same time have some Chtulian elements (mainly the tentacle face). But I also believe he won't just have two legs and two arms I believe he will have lots of feet and his tentacles will work more as his arms. He will be huge and therefore able to move quickly but he will appear to move slow thanks to the turtle elements. I really just can't wait because I actually have no idea what MGP is actually gonna look like but I'm sure it's going to be awesome

I think the monster will be simply reptilian, and that the smaller monsters will be created when the monster is shot at/bumps into things. (Meaning they drop off him.) This was mentioned in a previous review, and I believe that the reviewer will be proven correct.

I believe that MGP will be too large to bite without killing, which leaves that up to the little monsters...which causes its victims to explode.

I don't believe that we will be given definitive answers to the viral campaign's build within the confines of the movie; I think we may leave with more questions than answers.

However, at this stage I'm assuming that Tag and Tido are victims of circumstance, and that the monster is likely of alien origin: Not a mutant, not a biological creation, and not some natural creature found for the first time.

It's obvious at this point that the "SLUSHO! Seven" should have a clue about SLUSHO! and Tagruato.

-Marlena being Jamies roomate hearing about Teddy's issues and Jamies talk about whats going on w/ him.

-HUDs comments on Rob's blog "Evil Oil Company" he must have stumbled on TIDOWave on google when lookin' for slusho.

-Rob has the job with SLUSHO! so he must know of Tagruato.

Now think, when they see the Tanker and the Logo they will HAVE to connect the dots much like us.

Rob will be saying "Holy Shit! It's Tagruato..."

HUD will WANT to document the whole thing. Look at his myspace all comic book stuff and his fan based comic book... HE WOULD document the happenings he's Mr. Sci Fi, and from the widget clip HE is the first to see it and asks DID YOU SEE THAT?!.

Marlena will probably knows whats going on with Jamie so she is indirectly involved.

This will explain why the camera keeps rollin...

The monster is Zilla. Since you all know why i think that(or a few people who don't bother to read would care less and call me a troll) i think this time instead of France its Japanese. Okay, so the movie starts like this....

The movie starts with Hawk turning on the camera and handing it to Hud in the department store. They film them buying supplies for Rob's Party. Now it cuts to Lily's apartment and shes getting some things. Hawk talks about what they are going to do. Next is Rob's Apartment. People are dancing and Rob comes in. A little talking and then the roar is heard. A few minutes of walking around asking what it was. Then the news scene(longer than the widget clip). Hawk suggests they go to the roof. A little talking up there and the explosion. They run down stairs into the streets while dodging exploding debris. They are on the streets and the head comes flying in. Some people filming with cameras and shooting pictures with phones. Now they turn around and see the monster behind the Woolworth building(I think you see the whole monster pass by). Now they ask if they saw it pass, and the building falls. They see a giant wall of smoke coming at them and they hide in the department store. Someone claims its alive. Now you hear stomps(referencing Zilla), now his tail crashes through the windows. They come out of the store and see the back of the monster and they go the other way. As they go, soldiers try to take them away. They realize that Marlena is infected, not explaining to Rob and crew, they take them to a tent with other infected people. The doctors look for a bad case and yell "We've Got A Bite!" after realizing Marlena's case. Men in Biosuits take her behind a curtain and she explodes. Hud asks what just happened and the soldiers explain there is nothing they can do for her. The soldiers also state they have to evacuate Manhattan. While the helicopters is getting ready, Rob calls Beth and learns shes trapped in the apartment. He keeps telling soldiers that he has to go back but they put him in the helicopter with the crew. The monster attacks a few helicopters along with Rob's. They survive except for Hawk. It's not over however. A giant explosion happens and they turn the camera to get a glimpse of the monster again jumping off Lady Liberty. Then the bridge collapses making them run. They finally head to Beth's house. This is where "We Cannot Go Out in the middle of the city!" quote comes in. They get to Beth's apartment which is tilting. They get her out, however the building starts the fall. They look at a map and plan to go in the tunnels. The get out before the building lands. In the tunnels you see the baby monsters who chase them. The little monsters kill Hud and Lily. Now only Beth and Rob are left alone in the city with the monster since everyone evacuated. They make their way to Central Park where Rob says "If you find this you know more about it then I do." You hear the final roar, and the monster's foot steps on the bridge making it collapse on top of Beth and Rob. The movie ends with -End Of Tape-, then the end credits.

Or thats what I think lol, it would be soo awesome since Zilla is very fine looking and that screenplay is amazing.

it's from outerspace, ocean, or where ever that eats the slusho ingredient (like jamie ate) and goes on a rampage. jamie instantly got hyper and energized and wanted to go outside, maybe the monster ate the same shit she did but a WAY bigger dose. and the monster attacked that station and thats where he got it and it now coming to look for more

Look at the facts. There's only two you need:

1. JJ said the monster would be original, something not seen before.

2. Peter Konig, who works for Tippett studios, the company doing the effects is designing the monster. He has confirmed this with an e-mail to me. I can forward it to you if you want. Why would somebody NEED to design the monster, if it's Zilla? Zilla has already been designed, and is property of Patrick Tatapoulis, who does not work for Tippett Studios.

It's not Zilla. Please, drop it.

Well....when in rome.

Ok so because a lot is unknown, the theory wont be complete.

The monster is of some kind of 'semi-unnatural origin', meaning it is either from outer space (the 'object' falling lends some credence to this theory) or is something ancient, or something previously undiscovered. Basically I do not believe this is a mutant.

The monster was previously either dormant or passive, before eating/absorbing the DSI, after which it becomes more aggressive, and more energetic and ends up attacking New York. For this I dont know any specific reason, possibly just at random, or possibly follows a tanker filled with DSI, which at this point, it is addicted to.

I think Jamie may make an appearance in the movie as a surprise guest.

I also think that no one explodes.
